Howie Rose on the Islanders terminating Billy Jaffe.

I thought Jaffe was great. I've never been a fan of Howie.

Jaffe to me was one of if not the best we’ve had.

Totally agree. Being in Arizona at that time, I just thought he left. I still like Billy.
To be perfectly honest, I actually like listening to Milbury. I think he’s pretty funny and honest with his commentary.

Amen, There are many reasons for a person to not get the Vaccine. Especially a Healthy 20 year old athlete who has very little to fear from a Virus with a 99% survival rate. He could have family medical history that makes him not want to get the shot, He could have already been sick and has the antibodies, he could have had reactions to Flu shots in the past. ... The bottom line is this "vaccine" has not stopped people from getting the Virus. Forcing people to get it who are not high risk is just about Control.. period. The whole thing is very political at this point and has Zero to do with Science. it's disturbing .. truly.
- niteislander

99% Survival rate? WRONG. Maybe on Long Island but not everywhere....

As accurate as predicting Buffalo to win the Cup this year.

And now for something totally different

John Tonelli for HOF

- Tee56

That's something people can get behind. You have mine and my dead brothers' vote. He was an Isles fan and wouldn't mind. All elections are rigged anyway, right?

Vegas has Islanders at +$1700 to win the cup. I'm totally putting a few hund on that.

Dead serious: This could be the year more than I have ever felt. SO good having adults run the organization.

JHS wins Masterson too!

Jaffe WAS great. Loved the Isles more than Howie ever did, understandably.

He dared to question almighty Garth tho and shared the same fate as Ned Stark.

For healthy 20 year olds and under a 99% survival rate is wrong, because it’s actually 99.986%. Actually there is a better than 99% survival rate for healthy people 69 and under. Interesting read on the virus.

https://rationalground.co...isk-of-dying-of-covid-19/

Edit: I just want to add I don’t take the Virus lightly because of the deaths it has caused, however I don’t believe in politicizing it. This goes for both sides of the aisle.

I can't stand Milbury. I'm glad he was fired even though the reason was BS.

Barry Trotz has been impressed with Simon Holmstrom and staff must remind itself he's still only 20.
"I think he's comfortable. He's getting his strength. He's been injury free for for a while now. I think that helps him his confidence, and you're seeing the maturity in his game"

Hard to say. Typically these pre-season games feature a lot of younger, AHL guys, but sometimes they sprinkle in some veterans.

Thanks Upstate. I thought you would see both just because they have to learn the new (Trotz) system.

Interesting, I guess Trotz has faith in them learning and executing the system pretty quickly.

Makes sense.
I like the zone exits. Quick short passes.
