I mean it’s a topic for us. But I guarantee Gallant isn’t thinking “well we may buyout or trade Kreider in 2024 so I won’t make him captain”. Not a chance - jimbro83
Honestly it makes it more perfect. Let them be captain for 3 years then someone like LAF would probably be ready by then anyway. Perfect transition |

No but do we really want to have a situation like this with a captain again?
Jagr: didn't resign him
Drury: buy-out
Cally: traded
McD: Traded
It's almost like if you're captain, you're a goner anyway - MeltingPlastic
Again though. Gallant won’t care about this. |

It won't be a captaincy that makes Trouba trade bait. It's his somewhat overpriced contract and the great drafting on the back end since he came to town. |

@vzmercogliano
Gallant said they brought in retired NHL linesman Pierre Racicot to help the team work on face-offs.
"You look at the numbers and you’ve got to get better... We've got good people there, but we want to win more face-offs and we want to have more control with the puck."

That might teach them how to drop the puck, not win the faceoff |

Really? You can't see any way that a guy who was responsible for controlling the participants of thousands of faceoffs might be able to offer some tips on what is viable and what is not?
They've tried bringing in former players who were good at draws before. I'd call this an innovative move. Once again, time will tell... |

I see it as retired referee welfare. It keeps him from.having to get a job as a greeter at Walmart somewhere in Florida. |

I wanted to post this thought but never got around to it as it was busy at work. However I was wondering, if were going to be working on incumbant leaders, do we give them an A? For example, I think LAF and Lindgren are fit for the role of leading the future. Do we letter them and groom them or just let it go until the time comes? |

what logical explanation is there behind the rule that does not permit Cuylle from playing in hartford? |

Agree, no logic whatsoever. Not the Wolf Packs fault that they only had 20 something games last season while most other teams had 40. Cuylle played in like 80% of the games and misses a few with injury but is ineligible this season because he doesn’t hit 20. Should be special exceptions in his case. |

it just amazes me
people love fighting about the vaccine and they force their irrelevant arguments into hockey
bottom line, there are 7 Canadian teams in the NHL, and Canada requires vaccination to enter their country
all NHL players need to get it and shut the (frank) up about it
that's it, there is no other argument as it pertains to the NHL
it's not a"liberty" thing
