I think an argument can be made that the only people who think that way from your list is FA and the fans. Hard to imagine the coach, GM and his team mates are doing anything but supporting him and what he is contemplating.

but the league rigs the algorithm that compiles the league schedule to give the leafs a competitive advantage is just plain facts rather than going all in on a hunch.

just so we're clear, do you think the schedule is rigged every year for the leafs or just last year? is the schedule rigged for any other teams? do you think the league meets with the software company that does the schedule to go over the preferences?
