The bats should still be ok... Hernandez, Vladdy, Bo, and Springer... Gurriel is no slouch either.
Defensively, they could use Espinal at 2B but his bat is no where near as good as Semien..
Who knows, maybe Cavan Biggio has a comeback year next season?

I think Biggio had been playing hurt all year while trying to learn a new position. I think it messed with his head. If Semien doesn't return, put Biggio back at 2B where he belongs; he was not as good as Semien was this year (Semien would win the gold glove if not for Merrifield, who I'm pretty sure is going to win), but he was above average.

The last couple of years he's been trending for 30 goals.

Definitely. Kampf is our new PK centre. A guy who can win draws and play defense. We'll need a second one. I don't know. I don't like Spezza or Kerfoot in that role. Maybe Engvall has spent all summer learning faceoffs.

Like under the eye of one of those 1970's kung fu sensei's. Every time he doesn't win the draw, he gets whacked with a metal rod and yelled at. "Again!" . . .until he can win 55% of his draws. I'm not asking for much.

It does. But Marner isn't the problem with it. Hyman was not effective on the PK last year, and having guys like Spezza and Kerfoot on your PK is a terrible idea that hopefully we've seen the last of. Especially Spezza. I love me some Spezza, but Christ is he terrible on the PK.

I read that the starting 4 fwds for PK are Marner, Mikky, Kerfoot and Kamph with Kase being groomed as an alternative. Realistically that's all they have ...maybe Engvall learns as well.
