The leafs won’t risk losing Engvall by dropping him to the Marlies which means Robertson, Gabriel, and Mennell will not be able to be on the team without them going over the cap. You’re fantasizing if you believe otherwise.

And there’s no way in hell a 7 million dollar player is going to be a 3rd line winger. And Holl will be playing with Muzzin I promise it.

I don’t think they (especially Keefe) gives two spurts of poop about Engvall. Far better players get sent to hockey purgatory regularly.

I agree, Willy is overpaid at 7mil. But 3 lines that can be a scoring threat is better than two. Willy can have the 2nd PP.
