I don’t think they (especially Keefe) gives two spurts of poop about Engvall. Far better players get sent to hockey purgatory regularly.

I agree, Willy is overpaid at 7mil. But 3 lines that can be a scoring threat is better than two.

1st line 21 mins
2nd line 19 mins
3rd line 14 mins
4th line 6 mins

Do you think it’s solely up to Keefe?

You’re wrong, if he wants to drop someone that could be grabbed by another team for free he’ll need permission from Dubas. Which means he’ll start the year with the leafs and maybe get traded. Doubt it tho.

Also, he’s not overpaid at 7 million…. Go look at other players in the league that make roughly that…. Basically the same talent.

Keefe bumped Kerfoot to line 4 last year to have Engvall on line 3…I think he cares about 1.5 spurts about Engvall to be honest. 😎

Lol.

I think Kerfoot sorta was the utility guy last year. He got slotted in wherever stability was needed, not necessarily was being punished.

Meh, Boston is getting old and dying

Hello buddy!!

- Dozzer

How’s it going man?

And I’ll take McAvoy and Pastrnak as a young core to grow around any day.

I think Keefe has a long leash with these sort of things. They’ll go with the best possible roster opening night.

For me, 7mil is too much for a guy that doesn’t play any defence, and avoids all physical elements of the game.

Habs are better than a lot of Leafs fans give them credit for.
- Arctic_AARDVARK

The Habs likely would have missed the playoffs if it were an 82 games season last year.

But hey, their clutching and grabbing, cross-checking, and circle the wagons and hope for lights-out-goaltending hockey sure took them far in the post-season where refereeing is more of an idea than a reality.

This season? I can't imagine this iteration of the team being any better than last year. But stranger things have happened...

Leafs should make the playoffs. But if their goaltending struggles MTL could challenge them for the 4th spot.

Ritchie Matthews Marner
Robertson Tavares Kaše
Bunting Kerfoot Nylander
Mikheyev Kämpf Spezza
Gabriel/Simmonds

Rielly Brodie
Sandin Muzzin
Dermott Holl
Mennell

Campbell
Mrazek

- Arctic_AARDVARK

I’m worried about the Leafs goaltending for your/their own sake.

We’re in a similar boat this year in that regard.

This meme needs to die. Nylander was just fine defensively last year and amped it up when it mattered most.

He was plus 10 last year… so you’re wrong. That’s roughly the cost of second line wingers these days and he was over 0.8PPG

and sorry there’s no way in hell Dubas will give up a guy he could have traded if he intended on risking him

You’re going to hate the end of this week… a ton of guys will start to get dropped to the Marlies and I can’t wait to hear you whine about it. Lol

Oh not too bad, and I’m sure Boston won’t become a bad team but I’m willing to bet that they fade a bit

I think for me it will depend on if Hall has a hell of a season or not… because then opposition will have to truly worry about defending two lines

Wasn’t being punished, but Engvall was better for a “spurt”. Then he ( Engvall ) finished the season pretty strong and had a good playoffs compared to many others on the team ( since nobody really scored )

Yes but the fountain of youth is clearly in Boston

What I really mean, is I don’t ever see a full reset in Boston. I love the way that we’ve drafted (yes, yes, 2015, but show me a team that’s gotten a Pastrnak and McAvoy with the average 15th overall pick) and the talent we’ve added to supplement what we have going on.

People have been claiming Boston’s demise for going on 8 years. They have a knack of keeping a solid team and I’ll keep my faith in them for now.

Well.
Not really.
Even in the playoffs he floated around without the puck.
Hes improved offensively for sure, going into corners once in a while, going to the net.
But without the puck, not that great...getting better sometime

I’m excited to see a full year of Hall in Boston. Our real issue is 2C, which is glaring. That and we could use some LHD.

If Hall is playing dangerously the talent level of the 2C doesn’t have to be incredibly high because opposition D will be focusing on Hall

That’s why I think if he has a solid season the Bruins will be a good team

Leafs oilers and Jets ain’t nothin to (frank) with.

If Price plays like vintage Price, there’s every reason to think the Habs will have better results.

No one cares about your stupid hall, your stupid 2c, your stupid LHD, or your stupid face.

Well.......actually tell me more about your stupid face.

Hope you had a good summer.
