Yeah well that's cuz doctors are taught to give medication and get rid of the patient ASAP instead of looking for an alternative...
My sister has graduated a year ago and is already thinking about changing career since she wants to take time with every patient and the system just doesn't work that way... - BashCH
I find this believable but I wouldn't walk away with a career with those type of earnings...try and change from within
The answer is the same for depression issues. Constant bombardment of media. It's impossible to escape, and it's the greatest blessing AND curse of our time.
Nonstop stimulation and information blasted at us at every turn. Who's surprised we're all losing our poop? - Darksyde
This is why I golf and fish...now if I could put HB down for a bit...
i mean, i guess it was a bit different when there was no TV and kids spent most of their time trying to avoid things like dysentery and black death - DoubleDown

That's what I'm telling her as well. She's the type of person who never really knows what she wants and takes forever to make a decision so it should take a while before she makes a move anyway. I'd see her in a private clinic where patients are taken care of better but I think the "private" part goes against her core values so I don't really know what she'll do.

I'm probably either "on the spectrum" or ADD/ADHD.... I can't handle huge crowds, if I'm out and about, I'm listening to music because I can't stand all the other background noise... It's hard with the kids, especially when I have one who likes to sing, and whistle, and tap... Drives me nucking futs. I like my alone time, to read, or watch something without listening to 3 other devices going. So I feel ya.

Being a good person and trying to have a career in our modern corporate world is pretty conflicting

I'm the total opposite, I'm ultra focused to a point where I can't hear anything around. Was very useful in school, but when I'm watching TV and my GF talks to me and then gets mad because I'm not noticing, well it's less convenient.

When I was a kid the spectrum only found kids on the low end and ignored those who were super advanced at math for example. A lot of kids got missed because teacher's didn't see a problem that needed fixing. I have no kids but otherwise feel very similar to you
All kidding aside, some teachers are participating in student intimidation. It was a huge problem back then...Don't know how school is today though, hopefully things changed.
