Ok...but primitive Fred would have noticed over time her boobs drooping and thus he'd observe that as women age their boobs droop and caveman Fredo thus practiced some super rudimentary gynecology...or something - Takemedrunkimhome
Answering Fredo and this at the same time, because I feel the debate lacks a bit of background knowledge.
There is two kind of sciences if we think of epistemology (according to Normand Baillargeon, even went on radio lately about this):
1) Formal sciences: such as mathematics, based on axioms like the values of numbers. Rules are derived from demonstrations based on logical manipulations of axioms. This includes the theorem of Pythagore. Those kind of rules tend to be robust as they are derived from axioms that are established as true by nature.
2) Empiric sciences: such as most of the sciences, like biology, chemistry, etc., but also sociology, psychology and history. This is the definition of science, having a systematic method to observe a phenomenon. There are debates about the best methods to do so, I acknowledge, and sometimes they are practices that lack rigor (but this is true both in sociology, chemistry and biology or whatever). So, looking at boobs dropping could be a science if you had a method outside of drooling of satisfaction, let's say. Sciences can have a futile object and still be scientific. Like someone could be studying mankind through HB...
More reflexive and less empirical approaches often lead to novel ways to observe phenomenon even though the methodology is not fully appropriate at first. If we take Freudian psychology, his theory stemmed out of his clinical observations, and he literally was one of the first empericist of psychology. Even though most of his conclusions were inadequate in their details because he inordinately extrapolated some of his anecdotical observations, which is recognized by about every modern psychologist in North America, Freud literally founded observational developmental psychology as a science. Psychology as we now know it would not exist without his work, even though methodologies are way more structured and rigorous now (using objectivable observations is the current norm of practice). Also, theories such as cognitive-behavioral theories are now the dominant approach. So, we are not living like Freudian psychology was the truth. Sciences evolve at the rhythm of theory elaboration and falsification.
It just seems like you have a very crystalized opinion on the way science work but I don't see a very elaborated critique of social sciences here. |

Lehkonen is a better player right now. No question about it.
Oh and he's paid 2.3M not 3.5.
He actually took a 100k paycut from last season. - Scabeh
I was talking about next year. 3.5M is probably exagerated a bit. let say 3M. the point remains. |

College scores can get out of hand because they need to run up scores for "good wins". You could hit over with a 77-3 |
