It's what I loved about last season, honestly. I think the last 2 preseason games and the 1st game of the year may well be a good predictor of the season.

Competition. This is the 1st year in ages the Leafs may have a better D than the Habs... Time will tell.

- Darksyde

I think you need to watch the Leafs a bit more often

Petry-Chiarot-Edmundson-Savard should be fine, imho
- Pat1993

I hope you're right.

We might not match the Leafs top 6, but if they stay healthy? Our top 9 MIGHT outscore the Leafs overall.

We haven't seen anything close to the Habs' opening night D yet, hopefully they'll come together strong.

*chuckles immaturely*

but yeah I do hope they'll stay away from injuries, it's my main concern, and if they do, they should be able to grab a playoff spot

Agreed... I think the lacking schedule due to the pandemic might have pulled the head out of his ass, and now he knows he can't just float on his potential. He may be a steal for the Leafs.

Maybe, but one has to hope one can change.

We don't know what caused his issues before now.

But Drouin has taught me that sometimes the weight of things unknown can affect performance. Maybe Ho-Sang had some healing or a revelation... Who knows? Time will tell.

yeah, I guess at 25 there's not that much room for serious improvement in his development anymore, but you never know, super late bloomers...

There is a difference between development and maturity. Sometimes only a lack of necessity makes one realize that someone is disposable.

agreed. still, if immaturity has been the main reason he hasn't accomplished anything it isn't a good sign...

Agreed... But until we found about Drouin and his issues this year, we all attributed it to attitude and immaturity.

Maybe it's legit. Maybe it's not. But it's hard to judge.

I'm going to go a bit deeper into depression, bear with me...

Look at Chester Bennington. Linkin Park. For anyone outside of his life, we'd think there's nothing to be upset about. Hell, pictures of him just 48 hours before his divide suicide showed him laughing and smiling.

Mental illness, and depression lies. Social or monetary status does not lessen ones impact by depression. It's easy for those who covet another's lifestyle to judge and ask what their issue is.

Their issues may not be monetary, but still as legitimate as anyone else's.

Maybe he's just a Richard... But who knows?

Ho-Sang tried to break the conventions of hockey culture. Unfortunately for him he was a fringe NHLer, so no one was going to put up with that poop and now he's on a PTO

I'm going to bed, but there are stories of him in juniors and with the islanders, where he would say no just to be different. Like the whole #66 thing. Lou asked him to change and he's like im going to make people think of me when they see 66.

So Lou buried the child in the AHL.

ahh, I see. PK Subban was able to break some of those conventions, but I guess he didn't go too far with it either, he just got eventually consumed by other poop outside of hockey.

anyway, good night dude
