The Florida Panthers are engaged in ongoing negotiations on a contract extension with captain Aleksander Barkov. Per sources, talks are progressing slowly, but there is optimism a deal can be reached by the start of the reg-season (which is not currently considered a deadline).

that's for Vantel, who claims he doesn't but then brings things up weeks after "not reading" certain people

But the LTIR thing is well written, and clears up a lot of misconceptions.

Ya, nowhere does it say anything about players not fitting in a camp's salary cap.

That's pretty much the Flames line up except for Monahan, Lucic and Hanifin.

Lukas Jasek is leading Liiga in scoring so far this season. Has another point so far today.

Was a great idea of Benning to have him go play in Europe to get a lot of games in and hide him from Seattle in the expansion draft.

Comes back next season more developed and ready to bolster the NHL depth.

Looks like Markstrom's in for his first game tonight, look for the Flames to ice a veteran lineup. Losing to the lowly Flames could be that next tragedy.

Canucks contribute a number of charity endeavours so I hope they do…would be a nice gesture

I remember the last regular season the Comets had OJ looked like a tire fire for the first 15 games but eventually turned into the teams best.

Another Dman I think will develop this year is Briesbois. I believe he is injured right now. He has a chance to play some games up here.

👍

Really depends on the likelihood of a waiver claim. If OJ is going to get claimed then beat to see what he can do over the first portion of the season (mixing in the vets to provide some relief).

If he is expected to clear, then one more year in the AHL wouldn’t be the worst thing for him.

Gadj I think would, no brainer for teams like Buffalo or Arizona. OJ maybe, the Canes seem to love dmen and Finns so I could see him there

Juulsen on waivers today. He looked good when Ottawa picked him up from the Habs. I believe he even scored on us.
