Hamonic, Juolevi + 1st for J. Carlson - 1970vintage
I'm not a draft guy by any means, but from what I read, 1st and 2nd rounders in the next 2 drafts should be treated like absolute gold with the projected talent of kids coming up |

It is more indicative to why these negotiations took so long. Canucks fans aren't used to negotiating with superstar players lol. Sedin at 7 million and luongo at 6.75 being the highest contracts prior sort or shows the lack of super stardom the franchise has had. - Codes1087
Sundin 2 x $10m… he didn’t actually sign that but. |

Meh, Benning doesn’t need draft picks, he needs playoffs. |

He can take maintenance days off & avoid bringing covid to Canada. - Nighthawk
Same as Bertuzzi on Det who they figured will lose 450K this season because of it.
Blue Jackets have already let a coach go because he wouldn't get vaccinated.
I'm not sure how most of the other teams feel.
I kind of wish Van said the same thing as CLB and said you either vaccinate or we don't want you. |

Any time, which has been extremely rare, the Canucks get a star player the fans and management run them out of town #noCups51years |

Back to Long Island? I don’t think they have a lot of cap? - LeftCoaster
Or if they want to part with someone from their roster.
Maybe get Stecher back |

Man I hope Don doesn’t run into Hughes at some swanky Yale Town restaurant and tell him what he thinks. |

Imo Canes need depth RHD to offset lousing Dougie. They are in contention mode. So vet RHD for a 2nd rd RHD Morrow. Cannot see a vet coming back in a trade take the prospect & ELC. Go sign Demers to a 1yr deal team friendly. |

he's not saying poop to either of them.
It's funny how fickle and sensitive some Canuck fans are. Benning has blessed us with two amazing young hockey talents and clowns(supposed "Canuck fans") want to run them out of town before they even hit their prime years.
Probably the same genius fans who would've traded the Sedins away for garbage when they first broke into the league.
The team would be in a perpetual rebuild that all players and agents would avoid if the fans had it their way. |

So, if reports are true, and the pair is signed tonight (even if it isn’t announced until tomorrow), would they be ready to play Sunday? |

He wouldn’t say anything negative because he’d never be allowed to hang with any of the players again, which would cramp his style. |

4.8m cap to use if Hamonic opts out or traded & Ferland LTIRetired. Need 2 signed for 23. Or 1.3m for 1 & go with 22 to max out LTIR. |

I can't see the Canes paying a 2nd round pick for Hamonic. Maybe older prospect Joey Keane and a 6th or 7th round pick. |

I'm far from a capologist, but I believe that the Canucks need to be as close to the cap as possible to receive full benefit of the Ferland LTIR cap space. Someone more versed in the CBA can correct me if I'm wrong. |

Who’s going to watch that Leafs thing on Amazon Prime? Might be interesting, and knowing how things turn out, could be fun. |

Growing up in East Van, I had Indigenous friends and teammates. I didn't understand why there was so much pain and dysfunction in some of the families. Now I understand better. C anucks and Aquilini offices are closed today.

Only my starting ask. If no takers then Hamonic has passed the opt out & forced to play or retire if no trade can be consummated. Benning has proven he doesn’t bow to players or give them away. He’s stubborn that way & fine by me. |

Added an edit.
Spend 1.3m to the cap with Demers. |
