So Ryan's chances of making the team have been impoehled

I don't know if it was just because of the humiliating loss last night, but Poehling (who I was hoping to see on the 3rd or 4th line this year..) just half assed his shootout attempt. He needs to get his head out of his ass and work HARD if he wants to make the show.

I think that's my general issue with his preseason so far. He hasn't been bad, he just hasn't been good. He has this massive opportunity but everything he does seems to be half assed. He's losing more one on one battles than he wins and he's doing little to stand out

There is a difference between scoring / points and playing good hockey, showing effort/sense of urgency and doing all the right things on the ice.
