Thanks Carol!
I believe the whole last year of the contract -> QO thing isn’t a thing anymore. That was part of the updated CBA during the pandemic restart. QO is now basically the cap hit instead of the actual salary in the final year of the deal.
At least, I think so…
Also, LH, yes, we get it, no need to post a gif every time the governor chimes in. - 1970vintage
Hey do you have a decent recommendation for a red tonight with Cajun Blackened Striploins? Looking for something a bit different...
Really interesting to look at how Van's deals expire over the next 5 years. As much flak as Benning gets, once you get past this year, you can't deny that the team is set up quite well to have money coming off the books every single time a young RFA will need a raise. You can see the logic in who is signed for how long and why.
As stated in this video, it's predicated on the core being good enough to win a cup one day, which of course is an entirely different debate, but seeing it laid out like this made me understand the Petey and Hughes deals better.

Spicy food can make wine taste boozy, so a lower alc red with bright acidity and lower tannins probably be good.
Try a Cru Beaujolais like Moulin-A-Vent or Morgon and chill it slightly. Or a bigger wine from a cooler spot like Shiraz or a Cab from Victoria or Coonawarain Australia, a Pinot from Central Otago in New Zealand, something from Itata or Biobio in Chile or a Malbec from somewhere like Salta in Argentina.

Except that guy said something like Boeser at $6+, but he really should have said $7+, and maybe even $8+ depending on the length of the deal… - 1970vintage
Boeser has been pretty good. Very underrated.
Blue Jays are winning, Yankees are losing. Need Red Sox to lose.

So he will be 25 and an RFA with arbitration rights. If they can’t come to a long term arrangement they can still go 1 year and he’s an RFA again. - 1970vintage
What is the over under on Chiasson making the opening night lineup? Don’t see the fit based on my limited knowledge of the player - TG likes dependability
