If you believe Doughty is still an elite D LA are pretty good. Maybe what’s lost is that the teams at the bottom end are spending $20+, including Arizona and Detroit, so the difference isn’t that much.

With our roster & current prospects that elusive stud RHD is the final piece to contend. Woo won’t be that but maybe in a few years might top out as a 2nd pairing RHD which would be fine.
At C & wing I’m optimistic the depth is there for years.

I prefer high end elite potential with D being 2nd round & later. My reason is D are so hard to judge & project. C’s are always my go to & safer bets. Convert to a winger is normal if cannot adjust. Wings old model did just that. Wingers 1st round have to be major impact types. Brady Tkachuk comes to mind. If not that then legit 30+ goals that play 200’. High level to elite skating has to be a given being speed is so important in todays game.

Aidan McDonough opens the season with a goal today for Northeastern. Minivan posted his stats the other day . Very impressive . Could be a college player to keep an eye on.

CanucksAbbyFan feels he will get a contract soon as the year ends.
