For me it is a true top 4 D.
Do we now have that? - Nighthawk
Don't see any foreseeable top 2 D in Canucks future .
A few here wanted Zadorov this year and he signed a one year deal for 3.75 . If Hamonic is LTIR (Mental Health) then maybe swap them out/ |

I think OEL is a legit top 4 guy, he’s probably not the #1 guy that Benning is propping him up to be. After that you have a bunch of 5/6 guys and a joker. Having said that, some of those guys are super young (Bonesey for instance), so it could get better in a hurry. - 1970vintage
OEL is a #2 in my books with the ability to bounce back to a #1.
Hughes a #4 given his defence but easily a PPQB.
Myers another #4 who needs a compliment not named Hughes but OEL could be.
Poolman a solid #6 maybe be a #5.
Bones will be excellent depth being he’s behind OEL & Hughes. Perfect role for him to develop & hone his all around game.
Hamonic if he ever plays an ideal 3rd RHD on a good to great team.
Pricey contract that needs to prove JB right. |

The hunt for a top pairing RHD is our biggest need indeed. |

If OJ is waived & clears I’d like him tried out on the right side.
3 reasons…
1st his turns suck.
-maybe right side helps
2nd our lack of depth there.
Last Versatility options on pairings.
-LHD much easier to develop/find |

OEL was never a #1. Was a #2 for maybe 2 or 3 seasons. He's probably a #3 at best now.
Hughes is a #3 only because he scores so much. He may never be the all around defender to lead a pairing.
Poolman a #4 because he can hold his own with a 1, 2 or 3. Hamonic same as Poolman.
Myers is a #5, Can play with a #3 but can't lead a 3 and can't bring up a #6 |

Jeezus Christ he is going to revert back to a 30 goal scorer. If he starts scoring regularly you got to fire Green

Lol. Also, looks like Arizona won the Domi/Galchynuk trade seeing as they got Galy back again for free |

Agree to disagree
Hughes is a #3 only because he scores so much. He may never be the all around defender to lead a pairing.
Only a 4 but PPQB ups value
Poolman a #4 because he can hold his own with a 1, 2 or 3. Hamonic same as Poolman.
Agree but it’s his upside
Myers is a #5, Can play with a #3 but can't lead a 3 and can't bring up a #6 - manvanfan

If you think he's a #4 but PP ups his value would make him a #3 |

Ryan Pulock will be a UFA next year.
RD
6'2 215
Good all rounder, some grit and can shoot.
He will be 28 next season.
Uncle Lou probably already has him wrapped up in NYI, but if not, you could throw some big money his way.

Buddy said trade Brock for Pulock.
4 years age difference and I like Pulock. He's good, he's exactly what Van needs. I don't know if I would pay that kind of price. That's like paying Hall for Larsson. |

The age difference is an issue for sure.
I don't think you could do 1:1 from vancouvers pov.
Benning trading with Lou is a bad idea

Could hope that both teams don't start out too strong and Jim is fired and the next GM gets a more desperate Lou to trade with. |
