Cozens might need to see some AHL i'm a little worried that he's going to be overwhelmed - gerbe75pts
Move him to the wing and he’ll be fine.
Playing Center with the wingers he’s going to have and the matchups he’s going to have to face is setting him up for failure 100% though |

Couts was always strong defensively and it took a few years for the offence to come around.
Cozens drives offence at a pretty good rate but really struggled defensively, which makes complete sense as a rookie on this team. - Pegullaville
Cozens is fine in his own end. With the right line combo that is.

Yeah he for sure needs the right guys on his wings. Especially this early in his career

The tape shows that UPL let in several bad goals, and some justified ones as well.
Score should have been 3-2 or 3-3 last night. I don't think the Sabres score any 'bad' goals last night like (frank)ing Voracek did. - TheSabresTaco
that was actually bjorkstrand...jax had two pp goals, one of them where they left jenner all alone in front and another one by voracek on a screen...they also scored on a breakaway after bemstrom stripped dahlin at the jax blue line and went in on a breakaway |

If I'm Terry.. wait no, I don't ever want to be Terry.
If I'm worth 5.7B, and my liquidity is, let's say, 3B, and I own the Bills and Sabres, I go to the County, say here's 50% of the cash right now, let's get going. The County agrees because every other county agrees to this fair share deal. I make that money back in 3-4 years from NFL profits. Sure I'm probably burning 60-70M over that time on the Sabres, but that's basically like us lowly bumholes earning $1000 from a business transaction and having to give up $60 in taxes.
Paying >1M to support average workers is a figurative drop in their bank account. But they didn't. Because they (frank)ing suck. - TheSabresTaco
Just to put this in context
"Pegula was No. 520 on the Forbes' list of richest people in the world last spring with a net worth of $5.4 billion."
32nd in league spending.

They are staritng 90 year old Craig Anderson, who has been downright awful his last 3 years and a career AHL guy in Aaron Dell/Dustin Tokarski.
Nothing will matter this year with how bad the goaltending will be. - ImThatGuy
i want to see them defend properly and move the puck up ice...that's where i really want to see them learn and grow as individuals and as a group...
gonna be tough, though |

With what the data is showing (Only preseason though so grain of salt) is even if they do defend properly, the puck ends up in the back of the net more that it should.
its going to be nearly impossible to tell what was good with what IMO is going to be one of the worst goaltending tandems we will ever see.
Id have to Assume Anderson is going to get injured at some point, and we are left with Dell/Tokarski.

The Sabres' paid attendance for preseason games showed approximately how many season-ticket holders they have. The numbers have plummeted.
Buffalo could need single-game sales of nearly 13,000 per night to sell out the 19,070-seat arena.
Well it sounds like the fans have spoken... |

I cant see attendance being over 10,000 for any game this year.
Frankly id love to see the home opener have about 3,000 people. |

Depends on if the US opens the border to Canadians at all or not. That's the missing factor in all of this. Canadian season ticket holders can't go to games right now.

Depends on the opponent. Toronto and Montreal games were always well attended, even in the bankruptcy years.

One would think that the Jack Eichel situation has a lot to do with this right?
Coupled with other reasons of course but, the Eichel situation has to have most fans disheartened?

Sure there is that.
If the arena is a sell out and its 99% Montreal/Toronto fans then great.
I cant believe that i hate this team this much.
Its a weird feeling
