đź’Ż. Everyone is so reactionary, take the time to think before you speak/ post - CanuckDon
It's a long season.. they've played 4 preseason games. I think relaxing a little bit will help everyone out. If people continue like this they'll have ulcers at game 10. |

I agree about all over the ice. I think if you give him an electric shocker and every time he goes to the wrong part of the ice you zap him . He should learn from that. - VANTEL
I think I’m going to like him just fine. If Jim (and Travis’) job is on the line and it’s playoffs or bust, they can’t afford to be teaching at the NHL level. As long as they have a plan I’m good, though as Matt Sekeres likes to say, “architecture? More like finger painting from this group…” |

I am not disagreeing with him but I do find it ironic because that is exactly how I feel about him and his coaching. - VANTEL
Big difference being Green has a contract and has made the team tho. |

The part that everyone needs to realize is that he's played 3 preseason games.... that's it lol.
What are we basing our opinions of him on? Lack of goals? Lack of awareness? Lack of production?
Hes been defensively in position from what I have seen, physical, and made good passes and made some good chances for him and his line mates. I think he should be on the 3rd line based on his performance, which for me has been good considering its a new system, language, country, line mates, etc.
Also, horvat played 5 games in Utica. No goals, no points. Podkolzin has played 2 or 3 pre season games and everyone has an opinion lol. The kid will be fine and I'm sure the coaching staff will do best by him to allow him to succeed in the NHL. - Codes1087
The problem, if you wanna call it that, is that he appears to be another top ten pick, to go along with Virtanen & Juolevi, that will be just another serviceable NHL player.
You’ve gotta make all that losing worth your while. Now, that being said, it’s way early in this kids career. Patience is the key with him, but like Juolevi that runs out at some point and you’ve just gotta accept you made a sh itty pick.
I was never a fan of the pick, I compared him to Leo Karmorov, spelling, but he’s obviously a talented kid and I know sh it from shineola about prospects. To be fair! |

Green could lose a few pounds, can’t remember the last coach the team has had with such a flabby face |

Rathbone and Pods have contracts also and I would be willing to bet will be a Canuck a lot longer than Travis.

He was dominant in the KHL playoffs earlier this year. If anything, he’s progressing faster than expected. OJ and JV stagnated after being drafted. |

Small sample size, much like Juolevi having an “all-world” U20 World Juniors. |

The two 1st round picks since Podz have been traded away as well... so there is a lot riding on Podz being a significant impact player for the Canucks and a lot of risk involving the gap.
Most have said that Garland was the real value in the trade and it was more or less a 1st for Garland type trade because he is a top 6 player. It will be interesting to see if they traded a 1st for a top 6 or bottom 6 this season. |

He was never worthy of a top five pick in any world. There were questions about his ability to pivot while with London but Benning fell in love with him at the World Juniors. Him and Aquilini picking Virtanen were just poor picks. I hope Podkolzin proves me wrong but I’m not a fan and think he’s destined to just be a serviceable bottom six forward. |

All that said about Podkolzin, Benning made some really good changes this summer and the club looks to be more competitive than any team in the past five years. I’m excited for them to get going!! |

I see bottom six BUT, an impact player in that position. I think 3rd line is where he excels. |

Sometimes people post rosters that are what they hope will play out.
Before the season has started
Then injuries and contract holdouts happen.
Then they reevaluate.
It’s just for fun. Not to be taken too seriously.
I had him penciled in as a bottom 6 forward myself. - dbot
I thought you were middle 6. |

What are you talking about? He is a top 6 player that will likely spend time on the 1st, 2nd and 3rd line. Why is is so black and white? |

I'm mainly just bugging Booner because he's adamant in his lineup choices and doesn't think there's a way JTM will be centering a line.
And I don't think so, but I don't know for sure. It would be a very long way for him to go to have an affair... but I can't count it out |
