For what Morgan brings, (0.333ppg in the playoffs the past 2 years) I dont think we'd miss his offense as much if we were to replace him with someone who is better defensively.
Its going to be cup or bust next year as well.
So if you let Morgan walk and dont get anything via FA (which will cost you more), not only have you lost your asset, you have nothing to show for it.
there are several teams out there (Im sure) that would want Morgan's "offense" and puck moving capabilities that have cap space to afford his new contract.
Hopefully they have a 3 -4 dman to move for him.

I don't think it's about the points.. CC probably talking about bringing in someone that can play effectively for 23-26 minutes per game.. We don't really have a guy that can handle a lot of minutes

someone contacted me cuz they knew I like hockey, had a bunch of boxes of 90s cards and hockey stuff...mostly junk..but some cool stuff...gave it all to me for $100..4 boxes..as is sight unseen I bought it.

Ya for sure, it would have to be edited as there are impacts to people's lives. But I think you could get enough interesting footage that would provide more insight than we have.
I dont like the NFL, but one thing it does well (same with the NBA) is they generate headlines (sometimes not always positive) or discussion throughout the year, including off season. I've heard the NFL has several "behind the scenes" type shows that keep people watching NFL related products even in the off season.
June and July the NHL has the draft and FA day. But a series like this in late August prior to training camps could be worth a view.

NFL has hard knocks looking at guys to make the team which airs through pre-season and the summer a bit and leads upto the first week. They just announced a second hard knocks series airing in November that I believe follows a team throughout the year. So we shall see how it goes. I don't watch the current hard knocks but other friends do and they seem to enjoy it.

But maybe we get one that can play 18mins and spread the other time around?

I can't imagine he'd risk trading Rielly unless there is a freak injury to Morgan or he completely sucks balls this season.

its crazy how many people rely on FB and Instagram for incomes.

I do use a couple FB groups to buy and sell stuff, and it was weird not being able to complete a couple deals...I had no other way to contact the people.

Ya unfortunately, people in mid sale would have been impacted on Marketplace (honestly the only thing useful on FB).
I was really worried for the millions of people who get their scientific research from FB.....my gawd what were they going to do.

It's almost like there's too much $$$ locked up in 4 forwards and it's actively hurting the team's ability to have balanced skill on the backend and bottom 6. 🤷

Dubas couldn't have predicted the flat cap and I'll bet he was predicting the cap ceiling would continue to rise. Bad gamble in retrospect and now the Leafs are potentially very (frank)ed.

I dont use marketplace much, but specific groups for stuff I am into. wish i didnt have to, otherwise id delete my account, but most people buy and sell stuff now in FB groups. the other ways I used to are dead.

I'd stick to 5 man rotation, though. Ray, Stro, Ryu, Berrios, and Manoah. I like Matz, but prefer this look.
