We're at 47 contracts. Ho-Sang, however, has let it be known that he wants to play in the organization and if they want him, he's willing to earn his spot - going so far as to say he'd play in the ECHL if necessary. - Monkeypunk
He's starting to find his passion for the game again. Getting him now, cheap, could be a steal for the Leafs down the line, if he keeps progressing. |

Damn, that's a nice (frank)ing knife. |

That would be the idea. If he looks close to some of the others, put him in and take out someone who makes more. - Canada Cup
I kind of wonder if Mik isnt moved. He asked before. And could see it maybe. |

If he signs for under $950k, you can assign him to the Marlies (he'd have to clear waivers), and the entire cap hit would be buried. - Monkeypunk
Oh I know that, but is that why to sign him? To be nothing more than AHL? |

Yes, we're talking two-way or some move(s). - VeryModernMan
I’ll seriously be interested about the reason why to sign him I guess |

Yeah, you pretty much need to special order a knife to get one from him... The price is $$$$, too, but if you know how to care for it, it could be a generational knife. |

Because he’s a high skilled guy who lost his way. If he regains his touch, he’s a valuable and cheap addition. Not unlike Galchenyuk except he seems to have been more defensively aware so far. He said he appreciated that the Leafs at least wanted to get to know him. |

They may be showcasing him. Putting him on JT’s line would be crazy. If they have a bunch if guys who can do the same or similar stuff for less than $1.65M they may grant him his wish. They’re not going to say at 5he start of camp they they want to move him. |

Ho-Sang has looked surprisingly good. In his career he's been mediocre with about 25 points in 50 games (24 in 53 - just looked it up). He's not been given a lot of PP time and was not playing in the top-6. He has top-6 skills, but he had an entitled attitude. I think he's learned some humility and that he'll have to earn those minutes and opportunities - but he's still just 25. He has a chance to get better with opportunity.
I think he would be a great asset in the case of injury. This year in particular, we have guys like Engvall (or possibly Kase - although I think he's better than he looked at times tonight when he flubbed the puck on the PP) to battle in that fill-in position, and then after that you have a large number of bubble guys: Amadio, Robertson, Gabriel, Brooks, Anderson, Seney, Semyonov and to a lesser extent Steeves and Gogolev. When I look at those bubble guys, Ho-Sang has out-performed all of them in camp. I'd be inclined to give him an AHL spot and see if he can keep outperforming all of them. |

He'd clear waivers initially. No one wanted him - it's why he's on a PTO.
If he excels in the AHL and then comes up and performs well enough in the NHL, then he'd be waiver-bait and Vancouver would claim him if or when we demoted him! |

I watched less than 5 minutes of the game. Saw both Engvall goals. From now on I am changing the Chanel whenever he hits the ice.
Payback to you for watching the Jays.

That’s more than fair… he has played well, I do wonder if he’d clear waivers tbh
