I actually thought he was very solid. He doesn't have Tanev's speed or snarl, but I think he's a smarter player.

I missed the 2nd period, but O'Conner got on the board. He really could be a surprise.

When he signed, O'Connor was ranked around guys like POJ and Legare as a prospect. He just wasn't ready last year, but looks like he might be now.

But he was top of my list if Poulin or Legare didn't grab a spot. I think he has 3rd line upside. He did have 7g 12a 19 pt in 20 games as a rookie once he finally got to WBS.

Haha nice, and yea I did hear that stat this evening while listening. He has a hard shot, skates fast, smart and has nice size. Sounds good to me for our bottom 6. Also center and wing option.

They certainly put the whistles away for that one.

They made the big cuts already so no. O'Connor had a really nice game. I'm still concerned with our defense in front of our own net. I can't remember Buffalos 4th goal but the first 3 we're all in the crease.

Watched most of it but not continuously. Left room and answered texts and messages a lot. Anyway, up tempo game with shoddy D, mostly in front of net, but with the fight and battle to come back and win a high scoring game in OT.

Well I mean he had a spot last year at at times, so kind of natural he still does ahead of younger guys and with the forwards a bit depleted from last season, especially with Sully at the helm.

Yea our net front defense is shoddy. They gotta take sticks or push guys out of the crease. I'm just not a fan of Pettersson and his cap hit because although he is solid and sound he just doesn't do anything for me. He should be at like 2mil.

Guaranteed? no. Favored? most likely. Regardless, he looks to of earned it anyways, which is great news. Hopefully he can keep that level of play up when the games count. Would be huge boost to our depleted depth.
