Hearing Barkov extension comes in at 8x$10M, with majority coming in signing bonuses. Panthers step up and keep their captain.

Gadjo

“I have nothing but good things to say about them” said Gadjovich when asked if he thought the Canucks treated him fairly since being drafted in the second round of the 2017 draft. “They drafted me, they developed me, they stuck with me, even when I was going through tough times, and I really appreciate everything they did for me. I loved it here. I can’t say enough good things.”

“It’s been consistent effort over the last several years,” said Gadjovich. “Honestly, it’s not just one summer that turns things around, it’s the consistent effort. I have a drive deep within me to play in the NHL. I just want it so bad and like I’ve said over the past few years, I’ve really been dialled in and I think you can see that in my game. Since my first year in Utica, I think I’ve taken steps every year. I think this summer was a big step. I worked a lot on my skating, I worked a lot on my strength, speed and explosiveness. I feel like I showed well, I’m right there, and I’m excited to get this opportunity.”

the canucks looked pretty good against the oilers who iced a good lineup. petey and huggy makes a huge difference in the lineup, they looked in good form.

The coaches and management have seen more of him in the AHL/Practice/Scrimmage/Pre-Season than we have

Green cut him. Can't cut him and not waive him...

Should of dumped Foch ahead of Gadj.

It was a special teams game. 5 on 5 wasn't anything to write home about.

I don't believe Fohct requires waivers. There is zero doubt in my mind that the cut/waive early was an attempt to hopefully not have him claimed, but it didn't work.

You should at least demonstrate a minimal Hockey IQ before posting here.

Dumping Focht who is waiver exempt and was bound for Abby all along was the solution to not losing Gadj on waivers?

Oh I know, it's a familiar pattern with guys like him. Everyone will probably hate him by December.

I seen a lot of things I liked. I don't know how the season will play out but at least it looks entertaining. It will be nice to see a full roster.
