SJ claims Gadjovich but hey we still have Highmore

So in the last 6 months we have lost a first Jake two seconds Lind and Gadj and maybe OJ.

Why do you guys want to draft again?

I hate Green .

I don't use language like that for Canucks but he's certainly counter productive.

Hey, at least the Canucks didn't lose some of the lesser depth that's still in the line up.

Just as it looks like this big bodied player is taking the next step as a serviceable bottom 6 player, cut by Green...poof gone on the waiver wire.

JB is going to take a lot of flak for this but if I were JB, I'd be getting pretty frustrated with Green already.

I get this feeling that bringing in new players for both top 6 and bottom 6 are going to be wasted until this team is in a hole and Green is forced by situation to get his head out of his ass. Will he break up the Lotto line, keep Bo's line intact and don't even take a look at your other options at all, plug Dikcinson on the 4rth and plug Miller in the bottom 6. If this is the plan... I'll be spending a lot of time on Elite Prospects early this season.

Looks like trying to hide Gadj by playing him sparingly didn't work.

Oh well, if he couldn't beat out guys like Petan, Chiasson, Dowling, Pizza Guy then it's probably no big loss.

But he's still pretty young and trending up. I thought he was better then most above / comparing him to Petan isn't really fair haha

Sucks he didn't clear. They gambled and lost. I wonder if they looked for a trade partner at least?

When you look at tonight's roster and you see JG picked up you have to shake your head.

Yup - I was fairly confident he would be claimed. On one hand, we finally have depth so we risk players on the waiver wire. On the other hand, protect your young assets FFS

Did he get a chance to do that though? Just a wasted 22 year old commodity that showed promise, improved skating, had a nose for the net, had size and grit. It's the little moves like this that just piss me off... Could have easily waived Highmore, no way he gets claimed imo. and if he did, oh well.
Gadj might not amount to anything, but now you tore up the lottery ticket before the draw even happened.

No not really. He was cut because he wasn't good enough to beat out a bunch of ufas that we signed to one year contracts lol. I'll eat crow in that I thought he wouldn't get claimed, but I still think you were being a drama queen in making a stink over a player that lost out to macewen, di guiseppe, chaisson, Bailey, petan, podkolzin, Dowling.

He can't skate and has played 1 NHL game since being drafted and had a awful showing. Sucks he got claimed, but are we really crying over losing gadjovich??

everyone is placing blame on management for poor asset management, but this is entirely on the player.

He was a 2nd round, that already had NHL size when he was drafted, and after signing a 3 year ELC, he couldn't crack a bottom 6 or bench warmer/press box role with the team when we lacked depth more than ever. If you are at the end of your ELC, you still can't crack a roster that has depth issues, that says more on the player than it does management.

And again, if he doesn't crack the Sharks roster, the Canucks claim him and send him back to abbottsford and deal with whether or not they want to keep him or let him go in the summer.

I don't think he got a chance to show it this preseason. I think they figured they were not going to use him with the big club and just try to sneak him through waivers. It backfired and they lost him. Sure it's the AHL and it was a Covid season, but he had 15 goals in 18 games last season! plus had size and snarl with improved skating.
Just dumb management on this one.
