In terms of GMs - it’s SC or bust for JB. Quinn, Gillis, and Burke have all been better - however all three were poor to below average at drafting so if JB can solve his NHL/vet evaluation issues and better surround his young core over the next two years, then he could pull it out. Still a long way to go in terms of getting the results he needs to sit on top though. - CoolerHeads
Be nice to have a GM that’s at least good at all facets of the job. |

Schenn should be looking in Abbottsford for apartments. He has had a terrible camp . |

What's factual is Lefty's claims are pure BS. JB's not last in any win stats no matter how we look at it. - boonerbuck
The fact that under Jim Benning the Canucks have more wins than teams run by other poopty GM’s shouldn’t be celebrated. The only reason he has more wins is the number of seasons the ownership has let this farce continue. |

Celebrated? WTF are you talking about? All I did was correct Lefty's BS claim.

No GM/CEO/etc is good at all facets of the job - need to know how to delegate and put good people in key spots. JB (and FA) have failed to do that by running a bare bones mgmt team and at times being too “controlling”
Hopefully the hiring of the Sedins is the start of JB relaxing overall control and putting good people in place to compliment his strengths. We shall see - unlikely he has much runway if the season starts to crater

Sounded like you were pumping his tires, but I didn’t read all the posts, too much to catchup on. |

I’m just kidding around, it’s pre-season. But, it is a lot to ask a team to go from one of the worst to playoffs in a year, especially with so many changes. The Pacific however is wide open. |

Trying to get him involved offensively. Does he have a point in the preseason? |
