I don’t disagree, I think he belongs in the NHL. But at the same time, it seemed like more of a paper transaction and I think it’s clear he was going to get his shot at some point. Why not put his head down and work his ass off like 99% of guys would do including Barron and Jones? That’s my rub with him, a little too entitled.

7 of the top 10 picks in Lias's year have amounted to nothing so far, and the 3 who did went before him. just sayin. Kravtsov went 9th, and we arguably could've traded back for him or taken someone like wahlstrom but i still don't think it was egregious at the time

I agree. He likely slots in for game 2. It's still frustrating all around. Annoyed at Kravs and at management for bungling these assets.

Anyone have a guess on the return? Don’t see a 1st rounder. Pass on a 2nd rounder (he’s way more valuable than Andersson). Maybe a similar type player, drafted 1st round but hasn’t found his stride yet.

Or maybe it’s an effort to stay from a European players going forward. Clearly, it takes most of them too long to adjust to the NHL game, and in today’s game there’s not much time to ascertain if a player is slow to develop or a bust. Just because Kravstov has skills, doesn’t mean has the maturity or attitude necessary to be an NHL player.

Kravtsov crying and asking for a trade is a very Jim Dolan-like thing to do. Oh, the irony.

I know it doesn't look/feel good right now but any chance this just blows over? I know this happens from time to time and I'm sure that some players just end up sticking with the club at least temporarily.

He really just could have shut up and waited for a call up in a week or so at worst. You know someone is gonna go down or get taken out in the first few games.
