I have thought this about Chiasson for years but you know I think he's there to free up the more talented less physical players on his line(see- McDavid, Backstrom, etc) I think he takes punishment well but is not bad at recovery, I wonder if he keeps getting that role to get the puck in the hands of the skilled player more often.

Miller is really good at fighting for pucks and getting them to his line mates. Chiasson? I mean, he's a career 4rth liner who plays PP as a big screening pilon who kicks in a bit of garbage. I don't think all his other teams missed the discovery that he is a effective 1st liner.

Put Garland on the Petey line... move up Hogz to the Bo line, move up Podz to D!ckinson line and shove Chiasson on the 4rth. Why waste the talent?

I don't disagree with any of what you said but just watch tonight and I could be way off base, but watch who he looks for when he gets the puck and where he goes(front of net), I think he's nothing more than a placeholder until Boeser is back, it's just a theory I want to explore.

Aquilini on Benning: "Jim has a vision of how to build this team and I want to follow through with that. These things take time and you can't cut corners. We've drafted a lot of young players and now they're at the right age. Now is the time to take the next step.

I think he's a placeholder for any top 6 injuries this whole year, given that they gave up MacEwan to sign him.

What are Dowling Petan and Highmore.

This team starts to make up for several mistakes, only to start making more mistakes.
A team full of midgets/lightweights, isn't winning anything anytime soon.

Obviously more fringe players but players that beat out these other guys for jobs. You can certainly disagree with managements assessment, but these are not make or break roster decisions.

These are real games now. Can't piss points away with using 4rth liners on 1st line as place holders. If the Canucks are a bubble team, this poop is going to pop the bubble early.

They had Benning on yesterday and was a waste of 10 minutes. Soft questions and all the usual answers we have heard before.

They have FA on today and the questioning seems to be better . Asking about Virtanen and Benning . I am reading the tweets (not listening).

A vote of confidence by the owner. Ahhh, JB should rest easy. Lucky for Jimbo, FA is a man of his word.

Just like death and taxes. Coaches and GMs are hired to be fired.

This team has to win soon!!! The other option is bleak. The lack of 3 consecutive first rounders is going to fcuk the next gm worse than mg did to JB.

I am not sure the Russian Dman with 43 letters in his name is a game changer but this years pick has more impact. They have to keep this years .

I think the next first round pick is in 2023.

It went to PHX in the OEL trade or am I mistaken.

Pod in 2019 is the last one and none in 2020, 2021 and 2022. They have to win soon.

That was a second rounder to PHX.

Looks like Reaves and his 6 minutes of ice time is really helping the Rangers
