Not necessarily. He could be doing all the things (eat right, play hard, learn the system, etc.) and still not be good enough. But then that goes back to what they saw in him at 5OA... and the cycle continues

I think he was just being polite, and that the player hadn’t actually done everything he was asked. Or maybe the 40’s skate is some stupid bullpoop coaching thing that doesn’t actually get the best out of your players?

someone should take Reaves/Goodrow in our hockeypool for today.

I have a feeling that NYR will come out swinging in their own attempt at trying to be courageous against Washington

Elias Pettersson made secret trip to VAN for 5 days in Sept, hoping to spur contract talks w team.

“I was staying in hiding. I wanted it to be low key. I wanted to show (the Canucks) I'm ready, let's get it over with. But it didn't work.”

Benning clearly never wanted Petey.

Once again, the guy had multiple surgeries by the time he was 21, he got Covid earlier this year. He hasn't played a proper season since he was 19. He fell behind in terms of development and wasn't able to make it up. I think you should look elsewhere for an indictment of the entire development process of the organization.

Reaves is a dinosaur in today’s game, he has very little impact on the actual game as he has no talent and I’ve heard he’s an arrogant a-hole in the room which is why Vegas got rid of him.

Good for PIM’s in a hockey pool though. As big of a d!ck Tom Wilson is, at least he can play the game, unlike Reaves.

100% agree

I have tom Wilson in our pool. There is zero doubt though that fireworks will go off today. Reaves and goodrow and Blais and Tinordi were brought in for toughness because of what Wilson did to panarin. Trouba is also back, so I imagine it gets heated

Crazy what good all around defenders can do instead of one dimensional defenders.

And having one of the best top 9 forward groups in the league...

What a stupid thing to have in a hockey pool. Penalty minutes.

it makes things interesting. I went into it the first year not knowing and thinking it was a points only league.

Pims/SOG/Hits/PPP makes people have to draft smarter and not so one dimensional

I agree makes many more players useful then otherwise and opens up different draft strategies. Way better then Plus Minus which does the opposite.

I'm still trying to figure out who to start in net. All 4 of my Goalies play against each other tonight.

What is the point weight system for these things other than points? To me McDavid should be picked #1 in a hockey pool but with all those other things, does he even rank #1?
