It’s not points, it’s categories. You get a team point for winning each category against your opponent. So if someone loads up on hits/pims/blocks they’ll be in tough against someone with more offense since there’s goals, assists, points, SOG, pp points all as offensive categories
Yahoo ranked McDavid as the most valuable player last year by a decent margin with these settings. Brady was like 5th I think - Nucker101

As I said I don't know how you weight the points system but if awarded 1 point for each. Tkachuk hits and shots would equal more than what McDavid got with points, hits, ppp, pim and shots. - manvanfan
McJesus wins more categories by himself then anyone... yes he doesn't win hits, Pims, or Blocks. But does hugely help G, A, Pts, PPP, Shots, GWG.... more then most everyone. Those stats are much harder to get then hits, Pims and BLKs.
Again not in the current pool so not sure on all the categories you have.

It's definitely not a bad problem early. Your biggest problem will be picking which 2 to start and then hopefully not picking the wrong ones for that day.
Just try not to ever have any empty player slots open and not being used on game days. If you have too many D or goalies and this happens, try and fix it so you don't lose out too much on points. - Codes1087
Thanks Codes. I think I have a decent grasp of what I want to do. I've been in a couple of Yahoo pools in the past. So kicking your ass shouldn't be a problem. |

I'm not in the pool but it sounds less conventional that pools I used to be in. |

All those except gwg, gwg is a bit random. Sometimes a 4-1 goal ends up being the gwg so it’s not really a true “clutch” stat like it’s supposed to be. |

Yeah, I’ve been in some basic ones(one with family and one with co-workers at my old job) that just straight up only counted goals, assists and points lol.
I found it boring |

I like it way better then traditional just G, A, Points, Goalie wins, pools. Opens up more player options and allows for different strategies.

Losing big tough players they've patiently developed for the likes of Chiasson.
Green's going to make the Benning haters happy. Just too much backwards poop going on with this coach. He'll be the end of JB this season.

If Hughes gets all his points on the PP and Edmonton scores all their goals at evens is Hughes -9…? Think about it.

Benning trusts Green, I believe he’s even alluded to Green having influence on trades/signings in the past. |

ZacMac was good his first season, but he's been a non-factor on the toughness front aside from a couple fights. Couldn't even keep ahead of the play to hit guys... more annoyed to lose Gadj than him, I think we saw the best ZM could bring and it was tweener 4th liner.
But yes, keeping Chiasson over the younger guys reeks of that win-now-at-all-costs mentality. Too many jobs on the line. |
