He can fight as a light heavyweight but doesn’t bring much else.
- LeftCoaster

He looked promising when I watched him in the AHL and during his first taste of the NHL. I guess some players get a bit complacent once they make it.

Other websites have the canucks third line listed as #1... knocking the other 2 down... makes way more sense.

Yeah, I’ve been in some basic ones(one with family and one with co-workers at my old job) that just straight up only counted goals, assists and points lol.

I found it boring

- Nucker101

I agree but when we had those stats, they were weighted like fantasy football. Every 3 hits gets you 1 point.

So it makes someone like Brady Tkachuk a valuable player but not a top 5 pick because he isn't a top player in the league.

The least heftiest teams in the #NHL (in lbs)

This will only resonate with #Canucks fans

Chicago 191.1
Pittsburgh 191.2
Vancouver 193.3
Philadelphia 194.1
Columbus 194.4

Looks like the Canucks are amongst the teams going all-in on speed/skill

ZacMac was good his first season, but he's been a non-factor on the toughness front aside from a couple fights. Couldn't even keep ahead of the play to hit guys... more annoyed to lose Gadj than him, I think we saw the best ZM could bring and it was tweener 4th liner.

But yes, keeping Chiasson over the younger guys reeks of that win-now-at-all-costs mentality. Too many jobs on the line.

Green isn't interested in helping younger players.

Green wants to make the playoffs, it's time for this core to establish themselves as a perennial playoff team. I like that he went with the players who impressed him most despite fan/media pressure.

Benning trusts Green, I believe he’s even alluded to Green having influence on trades/signings in the past.
- Nucker101

Like I said, that will be the end of Benning.

His own doing of course.

I got to say, I had a lot more optimism back in the summer than I do today for this season.

Just wait until the first 4-5 game losing skid and #teamwhiner really gets rolling....

If Green wants to do that, he should find a way to get the players on the ice to play together.

and then they disappear during winning streaks or just make snarky comments about playoffs, cheerleaders, etc.

Well, looks like the first time I've ever been wrong on HB if this holds up. Way to stick with it Booner
- NewYorkNuck

It's not like I said he'd never end up centering the 3rd line. I mean, I don't have faith in Green so... You could get it right when Boeser returns but I'd still argue if Miller is going to play the middle at all... it should be on the intact Lotto line.

With that being said, the experiment of Miller centering his own line in the bottom 6 looked like a bust in the preseason. A waste of one of the teams race horses.

league is just getting smaller in general, the lightest teams back then would be considered heavy now:

Not sure this got any mention yet but Petey looked good with faceoffs in the preseason. All my talk about Miller possibly centering the Lotto line but Petey looks to have improved in that category. Good for him...

Only 2 games though.

One game away from the conference finals with Beagle in the lineup...you think Zacmac and Gadj would have got us there?
