Braun makes the most sense in my opinion. - MJL
Interesting.
I have hesitation with a Yandle and York pair though, again assuming Ellis is the one out.
York needs to be the first one up, not Seeler. Although Zamula might be ahead in their depth charts. |

Hopefully we are getting the injuries out of our system early on vs late in the season. Only positive I have with the injuries. |

I think York gets pulled up if Yandle goes down. Any other d-man goes down and I think Seeler is the guy.

They could get one as well, we don’t know. The premise that Lias Andersen didn’t get them a first round pick is totally irrelevant - ClaudeFather
It's not irrelevant, it was a good comparison. Andersson is still a decent prospect, selected 1 year before Kravtsov and has scored well at every level. Andersson has similar value to Kravtsov when he was traded. It was just a comparison, calm down. |

Did anyone catch the pregame for the Vegas vs. Seattle game last night? Pretty cool stuff. Not usually a fan of that, but it was impressive. |

When you have 8 guys over 30 expect more injuries...guys like Ellis...Brassard..Braun..etc arent playing a season injury free - hfc355
Don't forget Allison (24 tomorrow), Laczynski (24), Zech (22), Wisdom (19), Zamula (21), Fitzgerald (26) and Hayes (29).

Going to be interesting to see how they handle it if both are out. And here I was hoping that we'd start the season without any more injuries... |

I think when you trade a player and you’re Critiquing his game in game one of the season, it shows desperation to show “I was right” or “we were right” about him. The majority did the same with Brayden Schenn in his first game as a Blue against the Penguins. Patrick may very much be a flop but Vegas is doing exactly what they should be doing. Putting him in a position to succeed. Vegas is a more structured team than the Flyers. If Patrick can’t succeed there, he can’t succeed anywhere but you won’t find this out in game one of the season. |

The issue is York plays the left side.

Anderson was and is a bust they did well to get a 2nd rd pick for him and turned it into a power forward prospect. He has been awful and a regular scratch with Kings. Kravtsov wasnt good enough to make the team like Frost here. Frost took it like a man Kratsov like a whiny millenial. All Rags need to do is like Edmonton did with Puljujarvi. Free to find a trade that Rags wont accept. - hfc355
He was good enough to make the team, they just decided they really needed Dryden Hunt on the roster and two checking lines for some reason. I don't blame Kravtsov for feeling like WTF??? |

Would be the most Flyers thing ever for both their prized additions on defense to end up hobbled to start the season.

Bill,
What are the options available to the team if ELiis and or Risto are unable to go Friday night? Would they have to LTIR Hayes to bring players up? - corduroy
Did you even read the blog? It's all in there dude. |

if Ellis does indeed miss Friday can we not go straight to the “he’s injury prone” narrative? Blocking a shot doesn’t make you prone to injury. Can happen to any player during any shift |

He was given a chance to succeed here, good line mates , Pp time, situational play. The kid sucked. I don’t mind folks putting him under a microscope from afar, missing on a #2 pick is brutal. |

i agree. i'm not putting him under a microscope, but i am interested in how he does this year. i watched like the first half of the game last night, barely noticed him. it did seem like his line was getting hemmed in a decent amount though. not sure if that changed later in the game. |
