Kakko can’t finish. I hope he figures that out or he’s going to be an extremely frustrating player to have. Other than that, he’s amazing lol. No Pk tho. Not sure he really needs to be out there on the PK, blocking shots is not why he was drafted. Just saying

Hunt and Blais…play all 82 please. When they hit players feel it. Happen at least 3 times last night where player feel hard to the ice and slowly got up. We haven’t had that necessity in what feels 10 years. Kravtsov didn’t deserve to play over either one last night. Blais is going to take some penalties, but I reckon very few will be lazy. He is also shifty with the puck I noticed.

The PK cost them last night. Other then that I thought most of the game was pretty even. Rangers looked great early but couldn’t get one past Vanecek

Nothing against Georgy, but he just doesn’t exude much confidence when he is in there.

1 game, new coach, system and teammates. Loved the physical edge brought by Blais but will he be any different than Lemieux getting called for penalties? Still think this team is playoff bound.

Rangers need to learn how to come out and play like the Caps played in the 2nd and 3rd (for at least one period) that puts the game away. They started alright, but they almost never come close to finishing a team.

Saw Ovie shuffling over to his Bentley at the team complex. He probably shouldn't be playing but word is that he's in the lineup. Probably would have skipped it if it were any other team.

Backstrom not playing is the biggest plus for us. Lapierre is in over McMichael for the Caps, so there's pretty good odds he'll score tonight. Take that NBC/NHL network! Lol
