Happy for Drouin...everything else went about as I'd expected sadly...81 games to try and turn it around and evolve but I don't see it. Also, some backreading indicates it took the nut one game to out himself as a Leaf fan rather than fan of hockey which was kinda funny.

Currently downing my pre workout BAFC. You doing well this Thursday AM?

I'm alright, energy is low this week I need a vacation soon. They had a good start and a strong finish, but playing a full 60 is going to be a challenge like last year.

Your comment on the puck movers/diggers is pretty accurate too. A lot of good/useful pieces but combined a great and balanced team they don't make.

Yeah I'm debating taking an extended vacation but if I do I'm staying in Canada so not sure what to do. I need a break from the world...dealing with everybody else's headaches and issues at work is growing exhausting

Exactly, I have an employee who just back from sick leave because she was exhausted from stuff at home, her kids have some serious ADHD, and now she's splitting up with her boyfriend so I'm worried she's going to break down again and she's a one women departement we can't do her job.

I was happy for Drouin to get one, I hope he scores 20 just no more against the Leafs.

My situation is similar with one person plus a couple great young talented people who may fall into the great resignation despite saying money, flexibility and job satisfaction are all great...like what the (frank)?

Missed most of the game. Not shocked it was close, like always.

Good to see Drouin back.

I’m thinking perhaps Toffoli should come off the 1st line and here’s why, there is no one to retrieve the puck on that line, no one that can go battle in the corner and come out with it...Give them Armia and put Toffoli with Evans and Gallagher, see how that goes...
- Karine Hains

Was thinking this all game long. I think it would be more balanced.

I know it was the first game, but I was disappointed with that fourth line. Seems to me they were stuck in their own zone most of the time.

I don't drink.. yet.

I don't know why people just don't want to work, make a decent salary and go home to their actual lives.

I have to be everyone's Dad and psychologist and mentor and friend and you guys know I'm really not all of that.

Yeah they need a better transition game to have success, which I don't think they will get with our D core this year so you need balanced line with one guy good in the corner because there's going to be alot of chips/dump and chase.
- Fredobbface

theoretically i agree. but they had success in the playoffs with an equally immobile defence. but there's got to be an available 1-for-1 in-game swap like Toffoli/Armia available.

Fully agree and I'm not the most touchy feely dude at the best of times.

I swear it's some internet/covid driven nihilism driving a lot of this. One guy I gave an extra week off with pay under the condition he volunteer at the food bank. He's starting Monday. Hoping it shakes his head up a bit with reality

Finished my MBA a couple of years ago but I'm not in a hurry to be in a management position for those reasons. People seem to think "I'm at this point in my career" when in reality being a good manager is hard AF...

I make a pretty good pay already and the pay raise wouldn't be enough to make me want to be in meetings all day long...

Hendrix Lapierre scoring his 1st NHL goal in his 1st NHL game is pretty nice. Happy for the kid.

Meetings suck...people's personal stuff is where it gets really stressful and makes me debate if it's worth it

yeah if they can navigate those games in Central America and find some points there, they'll be tough to knock off that third spot. but it's concacaf. weird poop happens in concacaf.

Fortunately, there doesn't seem to be much of this stuff at my job. Maybe because everyone has a very high degree of education. Doesn't mean they don't have problems, but most of them don't seem to bring them at work.

I'm in a organisation small enough that even if i'm management I still do technical stuff and projects overall it's a fun balance. It's just that lately we've had alot of changes mainly due to a bad apple, which we got rid off so I was glad I thought I would finally have some time to breath from the HR management stuff then she went of sick leave and now a divorce which affects me because I highly appreciate her she's professional and very good at her job
