How do the flyers fans think Sanheim played? How about Nate?
On the first Canucks goal he beat Hart short side top shelf. That should not happen on an unscreened shot. He absolutely went down early imo. Was it a bad goal? No. Was it one that is very savable and needs to be stopped? Yes. - hello it's me 2050
Not a great night for Sanheim…he looked as soft as usual on a couple of the goals were he was out competed and out muscled…but I also thought some of his shifts were good.
Thompson works hard …is a glue guy. But really is not a reliable NHL player anymore. It was one of the moves that Fletch made in the off season that seemed like a step back.
The First goal was a great shot…but it’s also a stop Hart makes when he’s on. |

agree...The work hard mantra is so lame anymore. As is the glue guy stuff. Not singling you out by the way.
No he needs t make that save period. Not when he is on. |

What happened to the Caaaaater Haaaaat that had a short memory? A couple of those goals were just bad bounces, but he seemed shook. Looks like he's always leaning forward in net which I would think isn't a good thing(committing too quick). Please fire the PK coach this morning!! It ain't workin and he ain't adjusting. I see many comments about them looking lackluster in the 3rd. I really think this is a symptom of their lack of speed up front. When teams sit back with a lead they have no one to push the pedal to the metal. Nothing happened until they had the extra guy/s. - Phillywhiteout
Playing on the PK in terms of structure and strategy is really pretty simple. Pretty much every team plays the same way. It's not coaching. It's the players and goaltending.

The 4th line was not the issue last night and neither was Nate Thompson. They weren't great but they weren't bad either. They scored a goal but the 2nd line was the weak link last night, particularly Brassard. It's one game but they have to be much better overall. |

The 4th line stunk. To say they were not bad is a joke. How about that first goal and the ole play by Nate. Yeah not bad....
2nd line agree .

Well when you run the same players out there that is on the coaching.

Glue guy is simply a good team mate that works hard and is willing to stick up for his team…sticks to the system, and creates camaraderie. You do need guys like that. The more the better. But he also has to perform to a certain level. I don’t Thompson can do that anymore.
As far as Hart….my point in a round about way is I don’t think he was on. |

Then get a glue can who can play!!! Correct he cant do it.
work smarter not harder.
I get where you were going with Hart. Those types of goals are ones that separate the good from the elite.

Agreed 4th line was not good at all. All three were minus on the night. Willman added a dumb penalty to boot….they showed little rhythm and contributed close to nothing. |

This is what happens when you take 3 leftovers and put them together. The coaches it seems had no plan to create a 4th line. Whatever was left standing.
Wanted to see how Willman did. Though his skillset isn't for a 4th line the way the 4th line is constructed. |

The style the Flyers play is totally passive. I also would add that they should be better this year on the PK with the players that they have added in the off season! If they aren't better it's time to part ways with this dullard PK coach at once! It's only one game, but I want to see marked improvement on the PK this season. |

Im pretty sure it was Thompson that whiffed on that weak stick check, instead of taking the body, at center ice that allowed the Van player to gain the zone with speed on the first goal |

Yes I do. Don't you? If you think the Flyers coaching staff is coaching the team to play passively on the PK, you would be incorrect. The level of aggressiveness is a read and react situation on the PK. The Flyers play a PK system that is pretty much the same as every other team. Its about execution.
There is a common theme when you disagree as usual. You offer zero substance to support your disagreement.
