Its actually mind boggling that the Leafs are still using it for soo many reason. First, pretty much all the fans hate it. Second, it hasnt exactly been a good luck charm. Third, its awful.

Swapping bad goalies was a great plan by both franchises.
At least Mrazek is cheaper. So that's a win.
And Andersen can be better... or at least he was at some point. - Scabeh
Both are injury prone and haven't been able to carry a team deep into the playoffs. It's almost like we replaced Frederik Andersen with Frederik Andersen

Hall and Oates is tragically under-rated - they are a fabulous band.
They are still kickin' it at live shows (or at least they were pre-pandemic). I would kill to go see them live.
Having said that, they are clearly identified as being a Philly band.
It's embarrassing that we use their work as our goal song.

Agreed that they are a great band. But the goal song is not embarassing because they are a Philly band. It's because it's a stupid choice. - fifty__missions
Could be equally as bad. Thankfully soccer only has 1-2 goals a game.

from last thread (it took me a ton of time to type this):
They need to take the stupid rule out of the game. The "safety" argument made sense in the days of bad equipment. If you score you score. Simple as if you slam your ass into the puck or headbutt it in. I'm fine with the high stick rule, but could be convinced against it as wel.

i agree and the high stick rules are both stupid🤦♂️
they are antiquated🤦🏿♂️
i always lmao when they talk about “player safety”🤣
these millionaires should be ready and willing to protect themselves and engage in violence once they step onto the ice👍🏿
please don’t lose sight of the fact that this is for our entertainment👍
if they want to take roids and go berserker all over the ice, the other team should be prepared with something beyond coasting around after the whistle with the stick across the knees👍🏿
this would usher in another golden age of the nhl like we saw from the Eddie Shore era throughout the early 90’s👍
what a shame to the game and culture that there has to be diving penalties that are rarely enforced and usually canceled out (4on 4)by a tripping or hooking call🤦🏿♂️
we spend our hard earned money to watch these millionaires so they and their management should be building teams that are ready for thunderdome 👍

At the games, most fans love it.
Its a great tune to celebrate
No song will be a good luck charm

Do they actually like it, or are they just happy that they scored? While no song can be a good luck charm, its old and out of touch with present day, and can be a bad luck charm

Well I can appreciate some people like their music, but id suggest its not in touch with most fans at this point considering they formed before any current Leafs players, and most current fans were born. JMO

If Wayne Gretzky can get into a fight, so could Marner.. Amirite or Amirov?
