I know they played well as a line last year with the chemistry, and I think they want to provide mercer with vets to start with

I don't understand how we have 2 writers for the Devils on here and still get so few articles. We just had an amazing OT win over Chicago with a ton of positives to talk about and the most recent thing on here is from early game day. There's like 2 articles a month for the Devils here. HockeyBuzz may as well just cancel official Devils writers here and just have community posts if we're just going to keep getting stuck with inactive jabroni's

Not premature at all honestly. Most people I talk with, and most people on the Devils discords, all agree that Kuok isn't a top line player. Pretty much everyone thinks he's not even a top 6 player, which is where I lean as well. He's a solid 3rd liner though. My only criticism of the opening night lines was that I would've swapped Tatar and Kuok, so im right there with you

Been saying this for almost a year. So, now I only come here for the comments and I skip over the outdated and stale "articles" entirely.

If you want solid and consistent content/articles, I highly recommend AllAboutTheJersey.com - you won't be disappointed.

Smith and severson back at practice, appears one will return tomorrow (most likely severson)

As for the comments about kouk, I think they will keep the lines in place and see how the chemistry is after a few games and also how mercer is playing and if both the first line and mercers line is going well they will probably leave the lines as they are or can move tatar up

If holtz keeps playing like game 1 in Utica he may be called up which will alter the lines anyways

As long as we are winning and our young players are progressing I am not worried about the lines
