I'm not underevaluate at all. you can have that type of player on the 3rd line if you have 2 studs on the top 6. PIT, WPG, EDM... these teams could afford a defensive center on the 3rd. not the Habs. Montreal need production from all 3 lines, and Evans on the 3rd won't provide any. you can wait another 10-20 games if you want, you come back to me then. - fidopro

I mean, it's one thing to keep the same formula without ever adding new functionalities, but is it that hard to have a website that doesn't go 504 every two minutes? really looks like they just don't give a (frank).

Not Evans fault MB can't do his job.
I am fine with Evans on the 3rd line.... but I'd be happy if he was on the 4th line, especially if that would put the Perrault / Paquette era to bed.
I really feel bad for Leks right now.

in part true, but I still believe he can't produce enough offense to feed wingers like Hoffman and Gallagher. time will tell, we have all winter to see this unfold. |

That line needs a big left winger with some scoring touch type player the Habs just do not have.... all they can do right now is throw Armia at it and hope for the best.
I suspect Suzuki and CC will be split up fairly soon.

bah, the way I see it is he may not be among the league's top 10 third centers, but he has the hockey smarts to adapt his game, time will tell but I think he'll be totally fine. anyway offensively speaking the whole frickin' lineup needs a sparkplug right now, holy.

Again, Evans in the 3c or 4c won't really change the dynamic of the team when nothin else is really working.

as much as I don't want to split the Dvorak line, the Anderson-Suzuki-Caufield combination did have some success if I recall correctly, could be on a temporary basis just so that the kids get their mojo back.

well to be fair Suzuki obviously isn't playing his best game right now, just like everybody else on the team. of course you'd want a superstar #1C so that he can potentially become one of the best 2nd line centers in the league, but unfortunately I don't think a guy like Eichel is coming to MTL anytime soon. |

you see Pat, to me that's how you build a team. find your #1C, whatever the cost. I don't care who he is. find it. build your center line with Suzuki on the 2nd, Dvorak on the 3rd... then you fill the holes on the wings. until then, more of the same. Koivu, Plek, DD, Danault... all decent centers who payed #1 when they should have been #2.
and Suzuki could be the next one on that list. we don't know yet. |

he might not reach "superstar" status but I think Suzuki has everything it takes to be a legit #1C.
and yeah the center position in MTL is kinda like the goalie situation in Philly (up until recently at least lol). it's been an issue on this team for way too (frank)ing long.
