I didn't watch the game, only seen a few highlights.

Maple Leafs vs Arizona... Leafs were believed to be a cup fave when Travares signed. I'm pretty sure if he was from Phoenix he wouldn't have been in a big rush to sign there.

He only signed a 5 year contract which takes him to UFA. With Bedard or michkov more than likely being within reach for Arizona, and the team with a massive amount of cap space, they 100% could draw in Matthews in 3 years.

Ya, slowing down in front of their dman gave Podz a lot of space to make his shot count... craft zone entry as well.
