No, I'm done with this team until they can demonstrate competence. I don't have it in me to root for another team, so I'm teamless, it would be nice to be able to root for a team that doesn't one-up themselves in demonstrating complete utter incompetence every few months. The only thing they've done right in the last five years is hire Granato, and that still has a big asterisk.

This. And if this defense and team is still this strong past the Coyotes and Canadians on their 2nd game in 2 nights that didn't have the same team as it had in the playoffs. I will sit back and see how this plays out before I blow any loads. Color me skeptical. I was watching the Penguins vs BlackHawks game last night and the Penguins came out on fire and I wondered how the Sabres would fare against them and other good teams.

But it's a simple fact that it's fun when they win. I have fun. I enjoy it. If someone can't have enjoyment from a (frank)ing win, then I can't help them.

I enjoy when they win but when it gets overblown a tad in relation to who they played by some people it does get a bit silly. Especially when certain posters saying how efficient the D is when they played these two teams. I'll just ride it out and wait for a larger, better sample size to see what this team really is all about.

Vancouver hasn't been impressive... they have a decent shot at going 3-0 which would be fun. Then all of these masochists will self flagellate some more and pray for the losing to return because they miss the misery and need that codependence back!

Im not one for overreacting to a tiny sample size.... but I have noticed outside of Buffalo media (Harrington, Lance, etc) people are pretty much universally still laughing at the Sabres. I was listening to TSN radio Montreal enjoying their meltdown (Habs and AZ by far worst 2 teams of year so far) they were consistently saying that Buffalo was the "worst team in the league". Even Mike Augello mocked the Sabres this morning on OTP Radio saying Buffalo was "planning the parade". I think it is unfortunate that so many years of being a laughingstock has made people so biased and blind to the fact that this is a totally different team under Granato. Who knows if they're evenm good enough to go .500, but Tbhey have not played like a bottom dwelling team. I am not gonna show my papers to be able to watch hockey, ut if not for the mandate i'd be at some games, theyve shown enough to deserve that.
