Tage looks competent at center which no one would here have predicted, ever! Dahlin looks solid on the left and right. The team is playing strong in front of the goalies. And Anderson seems to be a calming influence from what we’ve seen. The compete is there. The effort is there.

I said it after game one and after game two, win, lose or shootout, they keep playing fast, with effort, I’ll keep tuning in. There is nothing not to like after the two games played (other than injuries). I don’t have any lofty expectations. Simply, keep playing the way they played the first 2. Only 80 to go.

Yeah, that poster is wrong a lot. He is the George Costanza of posters whatever he posts the opposite usually happens or is true. That is why it is smart not to go full bore on things you aren't sure about or really don't matter. There are levels of personal development and emotional intelligence and to see things as black and white is a low level. To say the Sabres didn't offer Dahlin a long contract when you have no clue as to whether they did or not is not wise because there is a chance it will bite you in the ass., and then the infamous special teams don't matter, among other things.

New year, newer Coach, new leadership...culture change.
I don't care if they win 2 games all season if they continue to play with effort like they have the 1st 2 games.

This is reminiscint of "The Hardest Working Team" back in the late 90's...which was very high on my list of Sabres teams over the last 50 seasons. Completely different style, but boy are they giving what they have...fun to watch.

They found an absolute gem in Granato, and he is proving to be the right guy for this young team. I can't wait to watch him in a couple years with a contending roster.

As far as Adams is concerned, his situation also reminds me of a Buaffalo team ... from just a few seasons ago, when a young GM and Head Coach decided to purge an underperforming roster in an effort to take one step back in order to start stepping forwards again.
