Still not too mad at that trade. Obviously there’s a huge hole in the top 6 because of injury, but expecting Kakko and Laf to fill Buch’s shoes wasn’t a crazy idea.

Not the first time Buch has crossed the line like that (cross check to someone’s face against Washington). Not a good look for him.

Blais to me has been a perfect fit. He gives off Rick Nash vibes out there at times (minus being an elite scorer )

After he dangled for that great goal in the preseason I thought he'd show that scorer's touch more often, but he's had the puck on his stick in-tight in a couple of similar situations during the past two games and looked like he wasn't sure if he should try to score.

I agree, thought he would have one by now but he definitely knows how to put himself in position and now we know he has the skill. If all he is is a 15-15-30 guy who leads the team in hits, I’m extremely happy with that.

Zac Jones for Smith seems like a good deal. Jones just will never have a consistent chance to get called up and/or play. And for this I blame Drury
