Meh, that last one was not up high in a corner and actually hit his pad and squeaked threw. I would have liked to see sOrOkin get that one.

He stood on his head for most of that game. We should have been down 3-0 after the first period. This team is just brutal right now.. we are much slower, not making good decisions and brutal to watch.

Bailey and Chara are turnover machines. At one point they were both on the ice and took turns turning it over 5 times. If you watched that game and somehow came to the conclusion that Bellows was the issue.. maybe u should watch it again..

Casey took 2 dumb penalties and spent the game chasing the play instead of causing havoc by being in everyone's face.
Bailey has singlehandedly destroyed the second line. Brock and Beau are all over the ice but every time Bailey touches the puck he does something idiotic and they are now in their own end.
Chara is a traffic cone who is not only slow but was dumped on his butt at least 4 times in the game.
Palmieri spent most of the second period in Trotz's dog house after taking that penalty and really just has not played well at all..
Martin is not really doing anything other than firing the puck back to his own D-man 100 MPH.
Barzal had a great game but stayed on the ice waaay too long in OT and it cost them in the end. That looked alot like our last captain. when u have them pinned like that and tired in OT..especially with a guy's stick broken.. you need to change lines and keep getting fresh legs on the ice. He was exhausted and literally laid in our crease.

Bailey is streaky and steps up in the playoffs but man he's bad sometimes
- Upstate_isles

He's always bad.. just sometimes he scores so it makes up for it... this year we just have the Bad.

Sorokin for the most part has been good. He has made some great saves. He won that game against the blackhawks. Without him standing on his head the first and second period we 100% lose that game. With that said he is a better goalie then we’ve seen. To me he hasn’t let in any horrible goals but he’s let in a few that he’s capable of stopping if that makes sense? Also, I agree the team in front of him has been a disaster. Our defense has been an absolute mess and the players you mentioned have been such a joke they should probably ride the pine at this point. Bailey has been so bad on both sides of the puck… once again…

it's almost comical that as soon as he touches the puck it's going to the other team. My son and I were counting his turnovers. finally stopped at 8.

The whole Chara thing is baffling to me. Once again we took a washed up old Veteran and b/c of that we can't sit him. He absolutely STINKS as b/c he is a "future HOF" we can't bench him.. why do we continue to do this sht all the time. It drives me friggin bananas.

I will say one positive... I though Parise played well. I thought he was going to be another washed up has been.. but he seems to still have something left in the tank. I still don't want another 37 + year old on my team but it's better than Zajac.

I'm with nite on this one. That's pretty much the game I saw as well.

I'd say that, offensively, there were some things to like. Defensively was a bit more chaotic. It's not that they were bad all the time in their own zone, but when they were, it was really bad...like leaving a guy wide open in the slot, running around out of position, and losing a bunch of battles in a row. Sorokin made some really tough saves in that game...and a few good ones on Laine. But when you give a shooter like him that many chances from good spots, he'll break through eventually.

Trotz not getting enough from Beauvillier-Nelson-Bailey line, said changes will have to be made

It's early and not time to panic but Barry should sit Bailey for a game. Bailey cannot be safe from a benching because he is a nice guy and long time Islander. Nelson needs to pick it up as well and get be frustrating like Bailey as well.

Probably Parise’s best game but that’s not saying much. He has been pretty invisible or worse noticeably bad so far. I feel he will find his game eventually though.

He aluded to changes last game and we might see Aho.. He then sits with it and refuses to sit a veteran. Bailey isn't going anywhere... neither is friggin Chara. I actually want us to lose vs. Arizona b/c they we will 100% lose to Vegas and it might actually force Lou/Barry's hand. Chara was a mistake.. go get a friggin Defenseman and get rid of him.. period.

It's a young league.. not sure why these GM's and coaches refuse to see it. If I was a GM once a guy is 33.. I am looking to move him.

The only bad game he really had was against Florida, who's an offensive powerhouse anyway. The team in front of him has been mostly bad so far. He could certainly improve, but I'm not really putting too much of this on him

Im not negative on Parise I think he’ll put it together and like I’ve been saying since we signed him Chara has to be used sparingly and put in a position to succeed. He has to sit some games which trotz pretty much has alluded too.

If there was ever a game to plug Aho in and see how he plays...it should be against the Coyotes. They're averaging 5.25 goals against per game and only 2 goals for

If they lose to Arizona...I'll officially be in panic mode

It's no secret Lou and Barry are big on vets and it has worked well the past two seasons with the Isles but Leddy is missed along with Toews. Both not the fault of Lou and Barry. Adjustments may need to be made with Greene and Chara this year and this may be the year vets need to sit from time to time.

Aho needs to play this next game and if JGP is back I would be tempted to sit Bailey for Bellows.

They could get shalacked by Arizona and I wouldn’t be in panic mode yet. I’m fairly certain they will get their act together at some point. Team is consistently a notoriously slow starter since trotz took over. We have a couple of new faces playing pretty big roles. It’s going to take some time. If they’re still in a funk with no signs of turning it around at ten games I’ll start sweating a bit…

Bailey is well Bailey and that whole line needs to pick it up. I think Beau has been playing ok but Nelson and Bailey need to pick it up. That said the answer isn’t Bellows who for me isn’t aN NHL player right now and won’t make a difference.
Just my opinion of course.

I don't think Bellows is the answer either, but if I were the coach, I would try shuffling the lines a bit. I would try Wally on the first line and move Palmieri to the 2nd line. I would sit Bailey whose passive play handicaps that (or any) line. I would call up someone for the 3rd line..... probably Panik.

Thanks God you aren’t the coach
Honestly the whole team has been off and needs to step up and play Islanders hockey. If the first 2 lines play the way they can the the Wally,JGP,Parise line should be a good addition, but again they all need to tighten up and play cleaner smarter hockey. I belive Barry actually had Wally on the first line a few times last night.

That said I think it’s time to Fire Barry and can Lou!
