I just got back from the flyers/Bruins game. McAvoy is a fantastic defenseman but anyone who says he is as good as/better than fox can give my an F’in break. Fox is head and shoulders above him from a hockey IQ standpoint. McAvoy had numerous turnovers tonight that fox never makes. He made some really nice plays too to be fair

The Wilson thing is so blown out of proportion as to that being the reason they did what they did this summer. That incident is just a microcosm of how little push back they gave teams for the last few years, and they just addressed it in a massive way. All I know is I feel much much more comfortable in those kinds of games then I did before that. Especially come April, and especially when we’ll still have 22 yrs old and under guys up and down the lineup that don’t want anything to do with that sort of thing. And It isn’t about fights or goonery as it is more about being an intimidating team and harder to play against. The proof is in the pudding with TB. They were pussies before they addressed the exact same thing as the rangers did this summer. And look what happen? The skill finally meshed with difficult players to play against, and they’re now b2b champions. Thus my intense frustration because we would talk endlessly about this problem in this blog for years!!! sorry if I don’t laugh I’ll cry

I agree with you here it was way to over blown by the organization and fans, but the fallout was crazy. Days after, followed by months of empty promises, icing a bottom 6 that may put up 30 combined goals and I feel 30 is a stretch. But hey they will hit like no tomorrow. We should not get pushed around in any game...someone here said to give the team 20 games and then see where they are at, I hope to have a different opinion but I'm not liking it so far after 4 games.

I hope they make the playoffs to see what the bottom 6 can do when push comes to shove.

The bottom 6 was worse last year. Kravs on the 4th line was out of place and Howden was worthless.

Rooney hunt and Reaves drive more offense than last year. I’m not a huge hunt fan for the record. The third line of chytl Goodrow and blais should put up points. Kravs would be a solid fit there with blais shifting down if that becomes a possibility
