Teams you have played have 1 combined win thus far. Took Arizona (probably worst team in the leauge) to OT. Tap the breaks a bit.
- Gerk

And the Blues are one of only 4 teams in the whole Western conference with a winning record so far. Tap your own brakes

Jack would have to take a back seat if he came back. As far as leadership and who gets a say about what.

He'd have to lead by example and not with his mouth. Not that he ever did before anyways lol.

He doesn't want to be here though. Never has.

Leaving Buff would be one step closer to his overall goal IMO and that is playing for his hometown Bruins.

Jack has a change of heart. Wants to stay. Willing to get the fusion.

Does Adams welcome him back? Do his teammates? Do the fans?

- Powerslave

I wouldnt mind seeing jack get another shot.

Its funny, I kiddlingly posted about the Sabres being in a playoff hunt/ spot and him pulling a kuchorov.

I would think a healthy jack eichel can only benefit the franchise long term. Hopefully he plays well and ups his value.

Short term he maybe a large turd that sinks this season.

Yes, farfetched, but possible

If he really wanted out from the beginning, he never would have signed an 8-year deal. We all know he wants out, but the there is no evidence that this was what he wanted all along.

Would be a horrible move on Adams and Pegulas part if Eichel wanted to come back and they refused. His value only will improve once he gets healthy
- chilliard77

not if he comes back and all of the sudden the team starts playing like ass again..

It would be fun to see Eichel rolling on the 1st line with us being able to roll 4 lines.

Unless the Sabres suddenly relent on their choice of surgery (unlikely), a fusion surgery would almost certainly have him out until next season.

He gone

I never said he wanted out from the beginning.

He makes 10 million a year to play hockey im sure he'd play anywhere in the world for the money.

First sign of danger though he's trying to gtfo...

If he were to come back the whole team changes. His attitude is cancerous.

Well that would be a huge thing, he would have to show the Sabres that his attitude has changed and that has been put in the back pocket and he's willing to grasp what Donnie and Adams are trying to build. And that he is willing to be part of a TEAM and not a 1 man female dog session.

There are zero indicators that Jack Eichel has any interest in mending fences, or that the Sabres do, for that matter

We' have to gift him replacement surgery for him to even start to consider playing here again.

And If Adams or whoever is in charge really cared about his future they'd have already gotten him replacement.

But once again this team tries making a business decision instead of actually doing the right thing. IMO

Oh I agree Hank, that is why I don't ever see it happening. Don't think Adams or the Pegula's want to mend fences either, there sick of him.

Fair enough. I personally don't want to see Eichel on this team ever again other than if he had to play a couple games following surgery to prove he's healthy.

The Jack Eichel era was a total failure - certainly not entirely or even mostly because of him - but it was a failure nonetheless. It's time for him to go

Well I think there was something wrong in Jack's neck before, that check was pretty much nothing. And from what has been said Jack has been seeing a lot of Doctors to see if he can get a backing for the replacement surgery to get a ammendment to the CBA. I don't think it's going as well as he hoped, especially with the Doctor the Sabres have.

Yeah me either.

His press conference at the end of last year was disgracefull IMO.

Some things said should have been left behind doors.

If this whole scenario was left behind doors I feel it would be over by now. But it has become a pissing contest between player and team.

And so far we are pissing way further than that T**t

If crazy man Lehner is still pissed at Buffalo doctors for the handling of his ankle and I thought I'd never take his side but Sabres doctors must have really screwed the pooch for him to keep talking sh*t all these years later.

And that was an ankle. I don't care how many surgeons the one guy has taught around the world.

This is now 2 big stories around buffalos medical team in the last 5 years.

Where there's smoke
