Excellent.

Kinda winning without our top center (mitts) and our top 4 defenseman (joker) .

Now add in a couple more injuries....
Nice to have a balanced team, better than eichel and his bi- annual season ending injury.

Jack has a change of heart. Wants to stay. Willing to get the fusion.

Does Adams welcome him back? Do his teammates? Do the fans?

Great Hockey player, but think he has burned that bridge.

It would be nice, guess nothing is impossible. But Adams and the Pegula's are really sick of his sh!t.

I remember hearing an interview with Okposo over the summer (I think on WGR but not positive). I get the sense that his teammates, at least the ones who have been around a while, understand Eichel's side. If Eichel gets the fusion surgery, comes back healthy, and starts putting up points and the win column continues to go in the right direction, this summer will be a distant memory in most fans' minds. The only major issue is Adams and ownership. Would they be willing to forgive him?

Has Eichel ever formally requested a trade?

Neva eva happening.

They quietly wanted to move him last year but would’ve been killed by the fans

It’s a completely irreparable relationship

As far as I know it's only been the injury dispute and along with some implication of wanting a trade.

Sounds like they won't, but I've seen stranger things happen.

I was just curious on everyone's thoughts. He'd really have to do an "about face" with regard to his attitude.

I agree, but I decided to address the hypothetical anyway. If Eichel by some miracle would be willing to repair the bridge, the only question would be whether the front office would be willing to the same. To your point, I think management wants him out more than Eichel himself wants out, and that's a lot.

It would take a very mature 24 year old to admit he was wrong, get the surgery the team wants and then return while also being stripped of the C.

That alone would be enough of an about face imo

Would be a horrible move on Adams and Pegulas part if Eichel wanted to come back and they refused. His value only will improve once he gets healthy

That's the big thing Power, his attitude. They tried to make him happy, tried to do things he wanted and it didn't work out, paid him a lot of money. And did not take kindly to some of the things he did of the ice the last few years.
