Did it ramp off the d’s stick? - landros 2
I didn't see it deflect off of anything, he just shot it over the kids glove from what I could tell. What I like abut this year's team so far is they are shooting the puck, and its going in! |

Huge win. Last year's team would have folded after the Bs tied it - DaveofYork
Didn’t we lose a game to them up by 2 with 5 minutes left….last year …if I remember Laughton took a penalty in the last few seconds and we lost in OT. |

The puck is just going in the net especially for a couple of guys. Perfect example is Atkinson's 2nd goal. He completely fans on it and it slides into the net. Good things happen when you go to the net and Atkinson is consistently at the net. - MJL
Can't score unless you shoot and so far the Flyers are shooting much more versus trying to make the perfect play. |

The difference this year is the flyers would have folded at 3-3.
There are things to clean up. The B’s didn’t exactly play a great game either. Their d looks vulnerable.

Yes. Complete collapse at home. I think it was the first game we played them. |

If their d plays like that and they don’t get goaltending they could take a step back this year. |

I thought they were out played a lot of the game, but a lot of shots came from the outside…D is way more sound in their own end. - landros 2
I thought so too, I didn't check the stats yet but it didn't appear to me there were a lot of dangerous chances by the Bruins, the defensive structure, zone coverage and down low puck battles seemed a lot better tonight. Less turnovers (at least from what I saw) also. |

I said it all of last year. Good things happen when you put pucks to the net. |

Lots of shots but besides the top
Line the Bruins didn’t seem to dangerous. |

They're still a philly team. They always defy expectations and give you hope that theyve finally figured it out, right before they wave the flag of surrender and collapse in epic fashion. I'm so jaded with our teams that hope is something I'm incapable of feeling anymore. |

The first line was pretty badly outplayed by the Brooooooins first line most of the evening and I wasn't overly impressed with Risto, but other than that all good! My worries about Jones are unfounded so far. Thought he had a good game without giving up any soft goals and that's all you can ask from a backup. |

For a win very low comments here. Typical Philly fashion. Only happy if they can beyotch and moan.
No one is anointing them cup contenders but they are more entertaining than last year. |

I’m very happy with the win. Lots of positives. Jones played well. Good special teams and shooting the puck very consistently. Still work to do but so far so good. |

Yeah first line lost the possession battle for sure but the Bs first line wasn’t getting chance after chance, think the first line for Flyers focused to much on defending. The ABB line was the most dangerous line on the ice and I like what I saw from the Laughton line, Flyers depth won the game. Now Thompson and Nak oofff, Thompson can’t keep up and nak just makes bone head plays. I liked our new wingers game, upgrade nak and Thompson and he could chip in. I’d rather see the kid who got sent down than nak. When Hayes and Allison come back you could see Laughton, Allison and new guy, that would be an interesting 4th line
Sorry for being lazy and not looking up names, to early |

Although the shot count didn’t look good, a lot of the saves Jones had to make were from outside shots. That’s just fine. What I noticed was we were more patient in defending and looked more organized. Their top line is killer so it got a little crazy when they were out there. Top line like you said seemed to focus on defending which is fine. Depth got it done until the first line broke through. Rr looked off and I hope he’s just rusty. He’s got to be hard around the net taking sticks and bodies or he’s not a lot of use. Hope he gets it together. Early but good win. Let’s see how they do vs a crazy good Florida team.

Overall a nice win for the Flyers. I love the chemistry of Farabee and Atkinson, they look great out there. For them it starts in the neutral zone, they position themselves well and have good sticks to create turnovers, and both can fly back the other way to generate chances. I love that they are shooting also because both have great shots! I also thought Yandle had a great game on both ends of the ice yesterday, slick pass off the boards to set up the 3rd goal, and nice slot coverage near the end to set up Coots on the empty net goal. Great to see RR in the lineup, but especially in the 2nd period he made a couple of bad plays that lead to two Bruin goals. First first was an ill advised line change when his keep-in was intercepted by a Bruin. RR has got to keep his head up and make a better decision there. Then on the Bruins 3rd goal, RR found himself puck watching instead of tying up Marchand's stick in the crease. I also didn't notice RR being as physical as he can be, so wondering if that upper body injury is still a factor. Hopefully, fingers crossed, he will get better with more games under his belt. |

Good observations. Bee and cam have been awesome so far. Rr I am hoping the same thing.
As well, Jones looked fine imo. See what happens when you actually support the tender with d? Even macewen was getting in on the active stick d action last night.

Yes, Jones looked solid last night, none of the goals were his fault, he at least mad the saves he was supposed to make. I am looking forward to seeing MacEwen play more, hopefully he get more physical as he gains comfort. He was good in his own zone last night from what I saw. |

I haven’t been tracking. What’s the deal with Patrick brown? Still trying to get a visa 2 weeks on? Is he a terrorist or something? Jesus. |
