Was along the lines of "it's his turn"... and that's fine. If Hart starts two of every three games this season on average, he'll get 55 starts. - bmeltzer
I'm good with that. |

Yea it’s a bit far away, lot can happen. That third line is just not good. Idk about everyone else but Laughton has been brutal, bad turn overs galore. He’s not helping that line. - ClaudeFather
Brutal is hyperbole. He can play better and that line hasn't shown much chemistry but I would disagree with brutal.

This is a summary of the presser, I happened to hear it as it happened on a local radio station as I was driving. - jd250
I read the article. It doesn't appear that Cassidy said it. It looks like the author's own thoughts. |

If Hart is our 1A, he needed to get this start. I understand about slowly building his confidence and he struggled last year against Boston, but he has to put it behind him. - cdearth23
After that implosion in the first game, I don't blame AV for handling Hart with kid gloves. They'll need to build his foundation back up period by period, save by save. Boston eats the Flyers for breakfast, it's almost a guaranteed setback.
The situation sucks, but what other choice do they have? AV knows they can't count on Jones to carry the team for any length of time if they "lose" Hart. |

Exactly. Not surprising though considering the source.

As I just stated, the author is summarizing or paraphrasing what Cassidy said. I heard the interview live on the radio so I know what Cassidy stated. |

Okay, but I only have the written word to go by. The article does not attribute those words/thoughts to Cassidy. |

Have you noticed this website has been intermittent lately, lots of timeouts? Its seems to coincide with your ridiculous posts ... Believe me or don't, I really don't care. |

Yes, lots of timeout errors here, too. I don't notice a correlation with any particular poster, though. |

Well then, you are in a conundrum. You can either take my word for it, decide its not factual, or do your own research and find the presser where Cassidy talked about it. As I said to numb-nutz earlier, believe me or not, I really don't care. |

Nah, not a conundrum. I neither believe nor disbelieve you. You heard what you heard. I read what I read. I don't care enough to dig deeper into it because it really doesn't matter one bit.

No. Ullmark is there to allow their young goalie Swayman to get his legs in the NHL. Bruce Cassidy when asked this question recently answered with one name, Carter Hart! He stated look what happened to Carter Hart last year in Philly. We wanted to be sure we didn't let that happen to Swayman this year. - jd250
Interesting. I think the Bruins almost single handedly ruined Hart last year TBH.. man.. |

Yes. we never do well against them, you're correct and I don't expect a win tonight unless Jones comes out and plays well. I don't know how long they should be protecting him however if that's the plan. Florida is no slouch either.. Just went into Tampa and schooled them. We'll need a solid effort if we are to win that too. |

The Flyers play Boston tonight and Florida on Saturday. Both games will be tough. Hart was not going to play both games, so after his bad performance last season in Boston, sitting him against the Bruins and playing Jones may not be a bad move. As mentioned earlier, Florida is a good team that will be a good test for Hart. |

I don't think so. He was physical and in on the forecheck. I don't think that line has shown any chemistry and aren't playing off of each other to this point.

The line has not been good, looks like the wrong mix of guys. Maybe they will get going, only two games so far. |

Reports are that Risto will be 3rd pair with Yandle tonight. Not sure I'm digging that, but guess we shall see how it works out |
