I do agree with lineup stability. My point is that the best lineup/lines should be iced. Brassard on a 1yr deal should have no bearing on that. If he's playing well with his linemates, he should stay there.

As young players develop and become NHL ready, they should be phased in and short term players on one year deals should take a back seat. Nor should they play ahead of players who are signed more long term. If this team was a team that was a legitimate contender this year, I would feel differently.

Yes, but I simply don't understand the timing of this. Hart is coming off a good game and needs to build on that. These aren't back to backs and their next game isn't until Saturday. There will be plenty of chances for him to get playing time with a very condensed schedule(Olympic year).
