Some of the guys on my team have told me I have been known to pull the old disappearing act in a tight game come the 3rd period. Then I just give them an old "Billy Smith" tap with the goalie stick and they smarten up!
By the way I *did* watch the game, and like the other games this year - the Habs are a strange team. They don't look out of it - they have chances, they crash the net, they get off decent shots - but things go wide, hit posts, hit legs, or players. From the 5 on 5 play I saw, it was a relatively even game.
Here's what I don't like: I don't like that you guys have a homer announcer. You even have Dave Poulin - a f'n Leaf guy - doing colour and he's boosting up the Habs. I mean they ARE 0-5. But they get props and kudos all game long.
As a Leaf fan, I feel that we haven't had an announcer who actually likes the team since they took Joe Bowen off TV. I want an announcer who's there for me when my team is poopting the bed to lie to me and tell me it's going to be ok. To lie to me and give me false hope. What's that saying? It takes a special kind of stupid something, something......I actually won my first game on Wed pm though, it was a total blow out 10-3 so I wasn't overly tested so to speak.
Of course the 1st shot I faced in a 'real game' in well over a year, after 5 minutes of no shots to start the game............breakway from centre. I actually stopped it but did get beat like a former ginger Leaf goalie on a break away later on in the game. As promised because it was a terrible looking goal against (I bit so hard on the fake shot I actually laughed out loud at the time) I'm going to get the video of it and share here so you can all mock me and motivate me to be better.
Just to make sure I keep throw some salt on that free ice cream cone though I'll post a decent save I made too - I think I made one?

Oilers have also won a playoff round in the past five years. Leafs have not.
