Unfortunately it won't be for the Leafs and we won't get any assets back in a trade cuz, you know, Cup Contender Leafs are in the house so no need to trade UFAs we can't afford!!!

I don't know if I'd call him more offensively "gifted" than Hyman. Hyman was a better skater, puck handler and passer. Bunting is drawn to the hard areas of the areas of the ice like a moth to flame and he works there. He has decent hand-eye, great effort level - and I think he does have a better shot than Hyman. I think Hyman plays a better 2-way game and has a better defensive awareness.
Like when coaches talk about a guy playing the game the right way, that's what Bunting does. Most guys don't want to be where he is because it's punishing.

Hyman is bigger and a better skater. Bunting is a better scorer, has a better touch and better instincts. He seems to know when to back off to find open ice and when to bang.

Hyman is a more responsible player, but I like the style that Bunting plays. Works hard and gets into the greasy areas in front of the net. Hyman would dump the puck into the corner on a breakaway and go chase after it.

I agree with you.. Hyman is a better 200ft player.. From what I have seen Bunting knows where to be on the ice and has better hands.. Probably softer hands too..
