Just goes to show you only need to try for the last 5 minutes to succeed |

Yes and no.
I agree because there are still a lot of issues with offensive zone play.
No because what the team is learning is to never quit on themselves and play til the end. |

Tkachuk should have evened it up as well. But live that hit looked really bad. Replay, not as bad as I thought. |

Kreider should have dropped the gloves with Tkachuk to get him off the ice. |

Yeah, when I saw it live I thought it was way worse then the replay.
This is why Kreider is scared to hit IMO. He is so strong that almost every time he hits he hurts people. |

Theres gonna come a point where our team is healthy again and the guys start putting it together. The ability to close out games, grind out wins and playing to the last whistle is going to add to it. |

Seems like Krieder is getting comfortable with his strength, ability to change outcomes.
Give him a C and let him lead. |

Sounds like I missed a frustrating game with a good ending. Too much to do outside when it's not raining to waste the afternoon in front of the idiot box. |

I had to leave after the 2nd so got all of the frustration and none of the good ending. Great to see they pulled it off, looking forward to watching the replay later. |

Sometimes the shot is so good that it just beats a goalie. That was a good shot. Poor coverage in the neutral zone and even worse in the d-zone.
We need G to find his game as I don't see Igor playing 70 games. I also don't thing Kinkaid is the answer either. - bigrod79
Spot on!
The Rangers must start Georgiev once, and on a few isolated occasions twice per each 5 game stretch for him to have any chance of being sharp in net when playing; which would give him 16 to 20 starts, & would be right on target for what their plan was going in for Shesty to start 60 to 65 games.
If the Rangers can't trust their backup whether Georgiev if not dealt, or any other one to make 16 to 20 starts, especially against teams not expected to make the playoffs like Ottawa, then they will not go far if reaching the postseason by burning out Shesty starting 70 to 75 games.
These are no longer the days where a Marty Brodeur could start 75 games, even if supported by the likes of those Devils trap minded defensive teams he played behind in facing under 25 SOG many games back then. Besides today's faster pace games alone, every practice requires goalies dropping down to the ice and sliding in the butterfly up to a few hundred times when facing either one timers or purposely set rebound shots & more during certain drills.
If Kinkaid also cannot be relied upon as an option, the closest to NHL ready in Hartford is Tyler Wall. Or else if not Georgiev who shined in the past when given his chance as if a #1 starter, the Rangers better find a low cost experienced reliable backup elsewhere, because you never know if they may ever need the next Cam Talbot extended act, as he performed with great success when Hank went down for lengthy time some years back with his unfortunate suffered vascular injury. |
