Sorry I just don’t buy the Panarin needs Strome to be elite talk. He was plenty elite before he came to the rangers and played with Strome lol - TPC
Theres just some chemistry that just cant be explained. Some guys just fit a certain players style.
Remember when Kessel went to Pitt, he played on Crosby's line, Malkin's line... and just couldnt get his stride. It wasnt until he ended up with Hagelin and Bonino that he went on a tear that lead to the Pens cup run. |

I think it also had to do with him switching from Hebrew national to Nathan’s |

"I wasn't disappointed with the way we played the first two periods. It wasn't our best, but we were in a game and Ottawa played very well" - Gerard Gallant on the comeback win
This is the sort of thing that boils my blood a bit. “I thought we played like poop and we were lucky to get out of there with any points. Need 60 minutes every game” is the correct response |

That's NOT the case being made here for an already pre Rangers elite Panarin. Panarin doesn't "need Strome" in order "to be elite" now as a Ranger, after his elite playing days with Chicago and Columbus. It's that the two mesh best here when playing as line mates, due per their own words of key, "to always knowing where each other will always be located on the ice," and when they can expect passes from each other in setting up scoring chances, including for their other winger.

I didn't like those words by Gallant either for the same reasons you stated. They were not ready for the game's opening shift resulting in Ottawa's goal scored 41 seconds in; by yielding a grade "A" chance in close from the center for the first shot Georgiev faced.
Then at the start of the 3rd with Panarin leading the way, they seemed like they were trying to initially "kill" the 4 on 4 even strength time, (with each team down a man for about the first 1:15 of the 3rd), so they could begin their ensuing 40 or so seconds powerplay. Panarin was still on the ice, but forced a bad pass leading to a rush the other way for Ottawa's 2nd goal around 1:00 or so in for their 2-0 lead, which Georgiev on this occasion should have stopped.
Panarin was seen worn & dazed, if not also scolding himself, while sitting on the bench after that goal. Was he actually planning to remain on the ice once that Rangers 40 seconds power play would begin, in then taking close to a 2:00 shift had Ottawa not scored their 2nd goal?

This late comeback win with 3 goals scored in a 3:20 span over Ottawa was the first win in Rangers history in which they came back from a multigoal deficit in the final 6:00 of regulation time to win.
And they did so, as they swept their 4 game road trip, without yet having Panarin being the real expected Panarin; as well as missing Strome out still on Covid protocol; and Kakko being out after being injured & leaving the first game of the 4 game road trip last Saturday night in Montreal. |

Sens twitter is real upset at the refs for that embellishment call and apparently at kreider for taking out Murray? I didn’t think he even really touched him
Also it looks like Montreal is getting it all out of their system |

Murray’s head hit Kreider in the leg as he pushed off when he came across the crease |

Sounds like I missed a frustrating game with a good ending. Too much to do outside when it's not raining to waste the afternoon in front of the idiot box. - Fenrir
That's why you need the Center Ice package in your cave! I started watching at 9:45pm, finished by 11:30. |

Sorry hard to pay attention to all your posts since some of them are nonsense. - aecliptic
That seems harsh. Rick is as easy to read as a woman in a BDSM suit.
And put me down for a no on Phen Fen Phil. The only thing this forward group has going for it right now is a hard-working, don't quit attitude. That is the antithesis of Kessel. |

Would you say he’s the butter to his bread? - picklerick
Sadly, I just now got the meaning of that nickname! I always thought they were just saying Strome was smooth like butter, not how he goes with Breadman. |
